Poll: Impressions of 'The Buried Sea'Follow

i agree that the loot tables should be improved to be lvl efficient, having to wait till lvl 30+ to beable to kill hill gieants just to get 10-20 plat per kill and still take days to mak ethe money needed to get a better pc of armor, is terrable. i think better loot items wise not really plat wise or the farmer aftermarket sellers will make more money, just make the loot better for us and make more attunable and no drop. if no drop then let us turn it into favor points

Tis a mind numbingly difficult expansion to do. The two armor types that are worth it, the Praetorean and the raid, are very difficult to do. The Praetorean is Tacvi equivalent, which is good, but still not the best there is. For a group armor, you think you could get better. And the spells. Murder. Way below my expectations.

About the only thing good about the expansion is the hand aug quest. Yes, it is long, hard and difficult, but it is almost clearly one of the best augs in the game, worth the effort. The only aug that comes close to it is the BIC quest aug, which is also a huge, mind numbingly long series of quests. All other augs don't come close to AC/HP/Mana/Stats and (very important, but so rare in good augs) RESISTS.

BIC, HAND and DAIN are three of the top augs in game. That alone, puts TBS on the map. But not much else does.

It's a shame it was released so soon after the godawful Serpent's Spine. Because people were still learning the content of TSS that they weren't ready for a new expansion.

TBS is a terrific expansion. The gear is better than TSS. And the missions are typically short, sweet and to the point.

I don't like the faction / currency deal. And it just doesn't seem like anything special, even though I like pirates OK. I really liked TSS with the exception of the artificially laid out zones, but haven't been too excited about TBS.

I have one 72 toon and 2 68 toons.

It's difficult to do much in the zones but there are some things, like monkey island.

all in all the expansion sucks. Running thru The Buried Sea zone with all (almost) red mobs and getting killed waiting for a boat is sooo much fun. I was killed twice at the boat dock trying to get a quest.

However I can't even get my 68-70 spells and I find it difficult to do the arcstone quests for some of my toons now that everyone has left.

My 68 necro still waits for mobs in Fear to do his epic, but the zone is empty of mobs all the time. Well not always, but the names are not up.

me and a couple friends went to the TBS zone before we realy saw the zone we were hit by four red skells being we were lvl 68 to 72 we had no chance, we were whiped out quickly, i thought ok we had a bad case of timing we summoned corpsed got rebuffed and went again, well low and behold the skellies were there again to greet us and same thing happened again....this being the top of the iceburg for me the zone use to be a lvl 25 zone, that was the last time we took the boat from butcherblock. Moral of the story... Sony took things way too far.. yet again

A little bumpage, as I want to get the Smuggler's gear and was hoping for pointers. Level 66 pally, 9k self-buffed hp and 1600 ac. What can I solo to raise faction? Are any of the quests that give doubloons soloable for me?

I like this expansion. My first experience with it was doing the mask quests in Atiiki. I thought it was fun to do something worthwhile that involved something other than hacking and slashing. The puzzle tasks were fun =). Course fighting the efreeti was cool, since they didnt summon. I was able to duo this easily with my ranger and necro. Popping the named dervish, and Hands were a bonus as well. Their drops were ok. Second experience was doing the first couple of progression missions, mmmm, I remember one that involved the statue, and the other that involved fighting underwater, those were challenging and fun. Next came the hand aug tasks. Wow, thats alot of tasks, but it was fun, and came with 3 levels in the process. I did try the thin out the serpent ranks quest, and was surprised at how hard the slimy buggers hit, so removed it after a few kills. All in all, I think the expansion met my expectations, and perhaps even exceeded them. Actually, the only expansion I havent liked up to this point has been PoR.
