Lost CorpseFollow

#1 Jun 06 2007 at 7:42 PM Rating: Decent
it seems as though my corpse has completely disappeared from where i just died. i've been looking around at where it should be and i cant find it anywhere. the goblins and gloomingdeep warriors dont seem to be helping by randomly coming up to and chasing me for a fist fight... is there any way to find it if you somehow loose it, or do i just have to look for it?

You can geta freindly SK or necro locate your corpse, or go to the Guild Hall in POK and buy a stone and have it summoned to you. I hope this helps

Or if your still in the Tutorial (Which it sounds like you are) There's a person next to the cave exit that can summon it for you, can't remember the name (First week in the game myself) Just hail and say "Aid" and it'll show up at your feet.

What can happen in the tutorial, in the past to myself, if you die and then log out you relogging will put your into a different instanced tutorial, one without your corpse. Try relogging if you dont find the corpse summoner.
In my case, the corpse was not showing, and the two members of my group were showing up as not being in the zone. The relog fixed that.

Before a certain level, 9 is it??, you don't leave a corpse. You just respawn with all your stuff still on you.

Do you have your stuff?

If you die below level 6, I believe you spawn with your things intact. (I should know, I've been through the tutorial like 20 times in the last week)

You should probably try hailing the Priest of Luclin, the Iksar with the corpses around him.

thanks for all your help guys! i did actually manage to find it after mistakenly seeing it as a recent finding-my-corpse corpse (if that makes any sense) i never thought about going to one of those necro-priests, i'll have to try that next time.

since i'm sitting here typing and everything, does anyone have any good ways of forming a group? i don't seem to either be doing it right, or just nobody really fancys my hoboness...

For groups:
A: Type /LFG and enter the relevant info there. Click 'search for players' and contact anyone within a few levels of yourself. Don't invite a lvl 3 if you are level 10, but don't be too focused on that either - the player is much more important than his/her level.

B: Call out in /ooc like this: /ooc <insert level, class> LFG for <insert name of task you would like to do> PST. (PST = Please Send Tell) Invite whomever contacts you - in the tutorial, it's much more important to form a group than to have a 'perfect' group with the right mix of classes. It can be a lot of fun to figure out how to do something without a 'key' class.

Also don't worry about groups so much in the tutorial. Most people are soloing in there, once you hit 20 or so start looking for a good guild. That way you will be sure to always have groups with people you know.
