So, what do you guys think is the best class to farm with?

I played 65 BST which I was able to farm a lot of stuff with, because the DPS was just amazing. But now I'm finding that necros can farm quite as well. I'm trying to get my little BST PLed to level 40 so I can just use it to farm in Rathe for pp. I never leave my PC on over night so sitting in vendor is out of the question.

Any suggestions for classes you find are the best farmers?

Oh, and I guess this is me asking for help, and you all discussing which class is the better farmer.

Since you said something about Rathe I'm guessing your talking about HG's for pp. Just about any higher level toon would be able to do that, but primarily pet classes. Just pick a mob click attack then target the next one, when your pet is done with that mob it will go to the next one, all you have to do is loot. (That's if your pet can kill them rather quickly)

A lot of it depends on what you consider "farming". If by that you mean killing mobs that are 15 or more levels lower then you, then that is different from "farming" while getting experience doing it.

Also, your inability to use trader at night does limit you. However, I would suggest that you make sure you check the barterers (geez I can't believe I forgot their name in game), in bazaar and see if you can sell some of your stuff outright to them.

Ok, if you want to farm while getting experience, then personal list would be:
1. Necros - never played one, but no nonraid geared class can solo like them.
2. Druid - Can kite, root/rot, etc. A little more limited then necros because they can actually run out of mana.
3. Wizards - Kiting - though a lot more dangerously then necros or druids.

Farming mobs that won't give you experience but good loot:
1. Any strong pet class. Mage, beastlord or necro. Send the pet off to kill, while you loot.
2. I would consider a foraging class to complement your looting. I know that one of my personal favorite ways to farm was to go to EK with my 30+ druid, aggro all of the spiders on the hill and area, then hit them with my PBAOE. Foraged items from there also sold well, so you get lots of silks, plus PP from the foraging.

At level 50 or even less you can farm the giants in Goruka'Mesa. They drop up to 35 plat each, and there are alot more of them then the Hill Giants in rathe.
