Hello there.
Like many posts on this forum, I've been away since the PoP expansion, and have just returned after a good 3-4 years.
I would like to ask, however, some odd questions.
I completely forgot that I had a lower level character (Main being a 65 Enchanter) that was very twinked.
It collected items for a couple of years but quit before I ever really played the alt.
Now I realise he's in full rubicite (BP as well, of course), and with Blade of the Black Dragon Eye (the one that stopped dropping shortly after Kunark)and some other rarities.
My question is - are these still worth a lot now? They used to be in Luclin/PoP times, because of their collectible value. Especially Rubicite. But with all the new expansions and the, obviously, huge amount of itemization that has taken place since my day.. well I guess collectibles are not worth as much as they used to be.
Any help would be great. Thanks!

There is only one way to find out - log in and check the prices in the Bazaar on the server of your choice. The economy is probably totally screwed from a pre-PoP perspective, but on the other hand there are now so many doable quests in the game that you can upgrade nearly anything you want solo.
In other words, being poor isn't the problem it could have been, so I'd not waste my time thinking about economy. You should be much more occupied with how much fun we're having ;-)

To answer your question.
Some collectibles still have value but not many. Amulet of Necropotence and Dathor Great Hammer come to mind.
Rubicite armor has no nostalgic collectible value and no value as twink gear.
Blade of the Black Dragon Eye still has decent "twink" stats so it is of value.
You will not be able to log on and check the Bazaar because items of that era are simply not commonly for sale.
According to EQecon.com, someone had Rubicite BP listed in the Bazaar for 200k. There is no way on Norrath anyone would pay that though.
To summarize, you will not get rich selling your gear.

- barbed rub. belt - 1x - 500PP
- prelates rub. helm - 1x - 5k

Who knows, it might be worth something to someone yet.
Do you mean the Heavy Rubicite Breastplate line of armor that may have had a required level (51 for the chest) added to it after you last played. That twink might not be able to re equip it. Or do you mean the no longer dropping Rubicite Armor including the Rubicite Breastplate with +3 regen? If its the latter, yes that is worth somethign particuarly a full set. I suspect you could eventually (afte weeks of auctioning) find someone willing to pay up to 1 million plat for a full set with the Blade of Black Dragon Eye thrown in.
