So, it didn't last...Follow

I quit EverQuest back in... April. Yeah, early April. So close to 2 months ago.

I'm so bored out of my freaking skull at this point. I play Rappelz, but it's gotten boring. Monotonous gameplay mixed with poor customer service, stupid PK rules, and only 5 servers to support a massive population, equals crappy. Though I've gotta say, the game is damn fun, it's hard-pressed to keep my interest, whereas EverQuest took me 5 or 6 years to burn out on. I miss running through Qeynos as a lowbie, killing rats and then getting murdered by some random zombie. I'm going to try and stay away from TSS and the like, just for the sake of nostalgia. I know that EQ in the here and now isn't what it was when I started playing, but some elements of that game do still exist.

Bwahaha. Maybe I should start on Kupo's server and harass him. Yea/Nay?

I vote yay. I'm most likely headed that way in a couple of days myself. Feeling burnt out on FFXI and WoW.

Ah, really?
I'm thinking about making either a Shadow Knight, Monk or Cleric. I'm not sure though. I keep tooling around with the Escape to Norrath thing that SoE keeps pushing.

Stupid work not paying me before the holiday weekend....

I actually got payed Friday. And Target recently upped my pay by a full dollar an hour =p. So an extra $40 a week... which I am not complaining about. Dunno, I might just pick back up on Rathe or A. Bayle like I was playing before I left... I miss my cleric on Rathe =(

Okay, so coming back didn't last too long. I killed a couple of mobs on my cleric, deguilded my ranger, talked to some of my old friends, and was instantly bored.

Trying to solve the boredom, I created an iksar necromancer and refused to twink him out, or even take him off of the continent of Kunark. That held my interest for a few hours, until I, again, got bored. Maybe I'll try him again, but for now, I'm looking into a trial of FFXI, and if that doesn't work, I'm just going to Lord of the Rings Online.

I'm looking into a trial of FFXI,

If you have any interest in that game make a character that will eventually become one of these things:
Warrior/Ninja, Ninja/Warrior, Bard/White Mage, Red Mage/White Mage

anything else does not get invites at an acceptable pace. The economy is also just a couple pokes short of dead on most, if not all servers.

In EQ related stuff, I purchased the game on Sunday... I started a Vah Shir Shaman, (which I'm not really enjoying) on Tunare... Thinking about being a Rogue, Wizard or a Mage instead.

You should give the TSS zones a chance. I made a new mage there to try it out and playing on and off I levelled her to 46 so far pretty much just doing quests. The quest system they implemented is a lot better than 'old world' EQ when we were always complaining that there were never any decent quests around.

Apart from a little diversion to Iceclad (hot zone) around L30 or so and some newbie grounds killing in Crescent Reach, practically every mob I've killed to L45 was in pursuit of some quest or another. It really does give you some incentive to play and the rewards are often quite good. Right now I am doing the armour quests in Goruku Mesa (can't do the spiders and snakes solo at my level but there are often people about to group with) and I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of this expansion.

Heh, my cleric is level 58, and a Drakkin that I raised from 1-50 only in TSS. My ranger went from about 55-59 in Blackfeather Roost, and got about 40 AAs there.

I ended up buying Lord of the Rings Online, so I'll let you all know how it is.

Well, update #1, I'm kinda in a bad mood now, since I opened up the box to get my product key, and it was completely blank. Same with the buddy key. So now I have to go back and get another copy, which probably won't be until tomorrow when I go back to Target (where I work at) ><.
