I'm searching alla, but I can't find any good armor quests for level 45. I'm still level 41, but thought I should get started on locating the items. I'm looking for some decent armor for a 45 necro, with some focus effects, like burning affliction, or mana preserve. Will update my Magelo in a second, so look at it to see what I have now.

If you have TSS (The Serpent's Spine) expansion, have a look Scout Madu quests. They can be done at 41, and maybe lower, but 41 is the lowest I've actually tried to get them. However, the equipment is 45 required to wear.

I don't off-hand remember any good quests with whole sets of armor around that level. There is the PoP armor quests, but you must be 55 to get the quests, even though the equipment is only 50 required. See Bor Warhammer quests for these.

kupo the pop quests are useless except for the occassionaly clikie for your bags. I have a 43 cleric and am doing scout madu quest for chest, arms and feet those are the ones from his quest list with mana regen and regen on them. For my other basic 8 slots the legs, wrist, helm and guantlets I am buying the new TBS crafter armor the tempered energian. they range from 2K-4 a piece in bazaar. Spell haste III and Mana pres III and improved damage III are on the Tempered energian items. You can alos get an aug from DoN merchenets usuable at level 43 with mana pres.

The TBS crafted necro one is for example
Stiched Energeiac Cloth Cap
Stitched Energeiac Cloth Wristband

Examples of scout Madu quest ones for necro is
Bone Twisted Cloth Robe
Bone Twisted Cloth Sandals
Bone Twisted Cloth Sleeves

Though the AC on all of the level 45 Scout Madu stuff is abysmally low... it's kinda depressing. Most of the SS stuff that I've seen has been that way, though... fabled junk as well.

Ok so I hit 46 last night, go KEI time, so I'm thinking of doing TSS armor quests, and because I kite more than I group, I'm thinking that AC isn't that big of a deal, as mana regen is. All I need to find are some items with focus effects.

Any suggestions?

Look at magelo in sig for my armor at the moment.

The TBS crafted armor has FE on them, if you can find them for sale cheap. And the rare ingredient is actually not that rare, the Sunshard Pebble, you have probably come across a few. You may be able to find a freindly tailor to make it for him for some slots, everything else can be store bought and would cost under 500 plat. I recomend getting wrists(2), legs and hands.

I would do a few things with your necro:
First - go to Coranthus Creep and do the Explore the Depths quest (plus 3 more explore quest to max aug). It is easy ( with the locs provided in the posts under the quest info) and scary, you may die a few times but the Slipgear's Gem is definitely worht the effort for every toon. Being a necro he may FD and die less than a regular toon.
Second - Get a Tainted Heartstone, seen them for 200 plat in bazaar and learn some languages, it will be greater in stats than current charm after jsut 2-3 languages and is an excellent item for silk wearers to put in charm at almost any level. Note it says recomended 60, but gives stats as if there is no recomened level and can be max stats at lvl one if have all languages. The charm language counting to determine stats somehow negates the recomended level
Fifth - if you can afford those Travelors Boots, then you should be able to spring for a Ceramic Skull of Decay in bazaar for the Affliction Haste FE, nothing like 33% less casting time on your dots. This means less time stopped and more time kiting.
Then go do the Scout Madu Arms, Feet, head and Chest.

This is the Magelo of my 55 necro, to see if this gives you any ideas, particuarly what to look for in bazaar if you have extra plat. Alot of the augs he has are DoN merch bought and would require Radiant and/or Ebon crystals, which I got for him when they were only 20 plat a piece in bazaar, the price has gone up since then. At the time it was less than 2K plat per aug.

If your going for mana regen use GoB and your lich line since they stack and KEI and Lich does not. (You may have known this but just incase.)

Instead of the Heartstone, I'd go with Serpent Seeker's Charm of Lore. In less time than it takes to learn 25 languages to 100, you can have it to well over 100 h/m/e. With just the parts in Crescent Reach, Blightfire, and Stone Hive, it's 69 h/m/e. By the mid 40s, you should be able to get all the parts from Goru`kar Mesa and Blackfeather Roost also, as well as the Jar in The Steppes (open and loot from outside the building if the named is up in there), and the ground spawn in Icefall. With all those, the charm gets to 169 h/m/e if I remember correctly.

All this can be done in a few hours. The only one you may have trouble with is the one in the Mesa at the bottom of the pool of water with the Oozes and Faeries near the North end of the river. All the mobs around and in the pool are aggressive, and the Faeries are pretty nasty casters. Sometimes I can /open and /loot without getting aggro, sometimes not. If you have a bard to go with you though, playing the invis song, you should have no problem. Another tactic, is to have someone train the mobs away to the Sunderock Springs zone, and loot while they're away. You might also have trouble with a crate in the Mesa with a named by it. The rest are pretty easy, to clear any aggressive mobs from, and several don't even have any mobs near them.

You might also looking into the Wanderlust Guild Loadstone as an alternative / future upgrade to the Slipgear's. At your current level however, the Slipgear's will be better, as you can finish it. You may be able to get further on the Wanderlust though. I haven't gotten very far on it for alts at your level or lower to be sure.

He is right, I had no idea the Serpent Seeker's Charm of Lore went so high with just the ground spawn and /open items, I will have to get it for my necro. It was not that hard to get languages maxed when afkm I have my accoutn and my sons and the ranger utility program autofire.
