Hello I use to play EQ way back in the day and I want to start playing again to start over but are there still low lvls playing to group left and if so is there still tons of people playing

Eq population is at an all time low. Low level players are non existant. You will also have to upgrade to the expansions you missed where most players currently xp.

With Vanguard flopping there will be some slight return of players.

I dont mean to be grim but I figured you should have an honest assesment.

Well, although populations are low, the ones that remain are the kind-hearted souls. You're sure to find help on almost any server enough for an enjoyable newbie experience.

Definitely worth it if you ask me.

I have no access to server population numbers, but AB is alive and well and has a decent population at all levels afaik.

"Low level players are non existant"

Yeah right.

Love to know how I managed to spend most of my playing time over the last week helping peeps who didnt even know how to inscribe a spell then.

It is definitely not like it used to be. But you don't have to group, eventhough it is the best part of the game, to level up at low levels (upto 50s many people have stated, and I'd tend to agree with that) for any class. However, there are low level alts, and even new players and returning ones that have started from scratch again.

You should look at some other threads along these same lines, as there are many. You should also read the sticky for new / returning players.

Definitely get the Anniversary edition, which has all the expansions for $20, from various stores. There are several threads on it also, with more detailed info, and you can also try the sony store website for info on it.

All is good on Bristlebane and has been for long before the new bundle pack came out. I box high level chars so I have not gone lfg in a while, but I often see lower level groups forming. Often see guilds recruiting in general chat for all levels.

I hear alot of complaints about other servers populations, so I am guessing BB is one of the exceptions.

At about 5 PM EST I ran my 41 cleric through Crescent Reach and found about 9 players levels 6-14, whom I cast temp on.

stay away from the server: The seventh hammer/Lanys

its all but completely dead

AB seems to be the only server that Ive seen with any 'decent' but not great amount of players on it anymore. EQ is losing players at an alarming rate and isnt exactly a good candidate for a 'comeback' game IMHO. Sorry to break the news as bad but it is what it is!

I play on the Progression Combine server. The population seems fine at all levels. I created a new toon and popped into tutorial last night and 17 other people were in the zone. I see tons of 30-50 level groupings and raiding is going strong.
