Recommended Level For Armor?!Follow

#1 May 16 2007 at 6:18 PM Rating: Decent
How does this system work?

I see a piece of armor that suggests lvl 18 to use it.. but I can equip it at lvl 11?

I see red numbers on the stats.. So I'm assuming the armor won't work to it's max ability until I hit a certain level?

Hows this all work?

You got it right, the red numbers are where the stats are now, and the other numbers are where they will be when you hit the correct level for that item( as in this case, level 18 )

is it a case of the closer you are the less the loss of protection?

if it's only 2 levels above me will I get more armor than if I were 8?

Well, I dont know the particular piece in question, but generally, yes. The armor class will go up as you level, so if you are say 16 and the armor class is 21, then that is better than you being 10 and the armor class is 12. ( just random numbers, by the way)
Plus, if the armor in question has any agility stats, then you will be harder to hit as it goes up, though at this level, that does not make as big a difference.

Hope that helps.

It's the ratio of your level divided by the recommended level. 1 being a minimum for anything at 1st level. The ratio rounds fractions. Augments with higher recommended level than the item, will use the augment's recommended level for the item stats as well.

Yther Ore.
