Well after awhile I want to come back to EQ, but seem to not be able to choose between EQ1 or EQ2. I mostly want to choose whichever game has a lot of population so I can find groups.
Any help would be nice for choosing whichever. (Don't want to sign up for both games O.o)

I'd say EQ1. People complain about the low population of the game, but honestly; how is the population going to go back up if people don't play it? I can always find a group (Yes, even on Firiona Vie), and am kind of sick of people saying that they want to come back to the original EQ, but don't because of the population. How else is the population going to go back up? I prefer EQ1 to EQ2 personally; EQ2 just doesn't have the same feel to it.
I would also have to say EQ1.

I'm enjoying the come back, but CR is just pissing me off. I have no spells for me, and I'm level 11, and no one is helpful on getting to PoK.

EQ1 is better and like folks are saying about the population ,you'll help build it up by 1(winks).
Warchief LOL just haul **** to the book ,I have a Drakin that made that run at level 10,you dont neeed any help,its small potatoes to be whinning about that,dont take that wrong just its not worth worrying about, again just run full speed and dont stop for nothing,it can be done.

Not to further hijack the thread but I made a level 1 mule the other night and made the run from CR to the PoK book in BM with no problems at all. Just stay on the "path" and use the overhead view so you can see what's ahead. You shouldn't have any problems reaching the book unscathed.

If your issue about reaching PoK is because you don't know where the book is to take you there, I can sympathize. I didn't have a map of the zone when I first tried.
The book is actually in Blightfire Moors, so if you can find the zone to BM, then you just run due east along the path, steer to the right of the friendly encampment you will see along the way, and keep going along the path. You will pass some thorn bush creatures and a very nasty red-conning lizard, but you won't be going too near to it. The PoK book is along the path and easy to see. Click on the book and it will zone you to PoK.

As above for pok book, or camp and use the go home button after 6 hours out of game. (Wont work if you are a drakkin.) DOnt forget to bind in pok if thats what you want. But there area spell merchants in CReach.
As for the OP. Go to the eq2 boards and see what they say, if you havent already. Seems to me there are more players in EQ.

As to the op, this is a highly biased place to be asking the question. From everything I've heard, EQ2 has really improved since it's release a couple years ago. I imagine at this point it's very similar to EQ but with better graphics and goodies. What EQ1 will have over EQ2 and every other MMO out there is content.
As far as populations go...who knows, it's kept a big secret. I would assume that EQ2 has more people playing, but that's purely a guess based on no data whats so ever.

Neat trick! I wouldnt have ever thunk it.
Is the CR PoD bugged then? "Go home" is suppose to take you back to the PoD you originally told "Wish to go" to. It has always taken me back to the particular one I came from, but I have never tried the one in CR.

Yeah, it's a known glitch, which the devs haven't done anything about... it's actually been that way since Serpent's Spine was released.

Thanks for the info everyone. I started EQ2 to atleast try it, but there is barely anyone that talks in OOC for groups or anything. I think I'll go back to EQ1 once the credit card thing is over :(.
