need help to help a friendFollow

hello,

A friend recently asked me to help him level his aa's he has 2 accounts and I will be playing his shammy while he plays his monk.

For whatever reason when we park the shammy in pok or in the guild hall/lobby I crash when i boot up. Once i select the character and it is about finished loading it says "your client has crashed" yet If i park in other zones I do not seem to have this problem

I have the current directx and have patched thoroughly. I havenot played eq in several months but have patched.

any suggestions?

relatively new computer. 2g mem, 128 meg video card.

I wonder if anyone else had to download and addition patches besides what soe released?
