I just bought this item a couple days ago : http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=33770 . I equipped it. I didn't notice any stat changes. What am I supposed to do see any?

You'll only see stat changes if you have armor with the stat "purity" found on many TBS items. Example: the player-crafted armor or the armor bought with doubloons from Halon Griere in Barren Coast.
