I noticed that EQ Anniversary Edition is #6 at Amazon top selling PC Games list:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/videogames/229575

So, there has to be an influx of new/returning players.
Anyone noticed a lot of new people on their server?

Haven't seen too many on my main server (FV), but I've been in higher end content. Recently rolled a druid on Bertox though, and I was amazed at how many people would stop and ask me questions about controls and what things mean. I guess that Anniversary Edition is working after all!

Most likely they are all still in Glooming Deep lol.

Most of them. I usually start off new toons there to make a quick ten levels and some easy plat. Seen a few in PoK.

I started a new char on Combine today and there were 39 people in tutorial.

I spoke to a couple of people who bought the Anniversary pack and they didn't know that the Combine server doesn't have all expansions... it would be nice if there were explanations for special rules servers at the Server Selection screen.

BTW, the Anniversary pack has moved to #5 at Amazon PC Games and is out of stock now. Looks like they underestimated the demand!

It may be possible that it's selling so many copies due to the fact that it offers TBS for only 20 instead of 30 dollars. I am personally picking it up just for that reason

I doubt many new players are buying it.

People are buying it for their 2nd, 3rd, etc. accounts. Many current players do not own DoDh PoR TSS and TBS.

By the way where in the heck is everyone getting this edition at? I searched Wally World over and over again, no luck, even drug out the General Manager there to search the shelves with me lol. Is SoE not distributing this edition to Wal-Marts?

I haven't seen a single copy of ANY of the EQ editions in a Wal-Mart for near 2 years now, and I see a lot of time in that stinkin place.

They have copies at Amazon.com, that are cheaper to ship then what Amazon offers.
Bought a copy yesterday, and I'm planning to buy another 1 for my 2nd account on the 1st.

I checked Circuitcity.com, hoping I could find a copy at my local store, and they act like they never even heard of it on their site.

I will be buying a copy only to get pro ro and tbs.
I therefore agree with Joelly. However there were a few more where to go level 20's
30's and even teens in general chat last night than usual.
And without a doubt the starting quests in TSS/Cresent Reach are as good as the tutorial. Only reason I would do the tutorail again would be to get a charm.

the store i work at hasnt sold a single copy. manager had us take the surplus off the shelves and put it to the back of the store to make room for stuff which actually sells. we now just have like 20 copies sitting on the shelf and still none of those have sold.

i would say the people telling you anniversary edition has infused new life into eq are either 1.) sony employees 2.) eq addicts who are still somehow in the denial stage that eq died several years ago. Thats the truth of it!

linderman, where is your store located? All the people looking for it and can't find it, and your manager is hiding them away? I find that hard to believe. I gave up looking and bought my copies online.

1) Linderman: Awesome name.

2) Well, I myself just started. I've been going back and forth between the Combine and Tunare... Although, I'm not yet certain where I may end up. I might just roll a character on Errolsi Marr (which I believe fused with my old server, Morell Thule, if I'm not mistaken) and see if I recognize anyone.
