What are all the abbreations of all classes?Follow

#1 Apr 26 2007 at 11:14 AM Rating: Decent
I'm trying to write down all the abbreations of all the classes for my .txt files.
So I need this info.

So far I got BRD for Bard, BST For Beastlord, DRU for Druid, ENC for Enchanter, WAR for Warrior, and WIZ for Wizard.

Gotta know these abbreations ingame. Most of the time people where LFG for BST or DRU instead of Beastlord or Druid.

Warchief covered the abbreviations people generally use in chat in-game, figured I point out the one's Sony lists on items:

BRD = Bard
BER = Berserker
BST = Beastlord
CLR = Cleric
DRU = Druid
ENC = Enchanter
MAG = Magician
MNK = Monk
NEC = Necromancer
PAL = Palading
RNG = Ranger
ROG = Rogue
SHD = Shadowknight
SHM = Shaman
WAR = Warrior
WIZ = Wizard

Aye, I don't really see people much saying HEY LEVEL 74 BST LFG PST

I used to see Level 64 Beastlord looking for group for PoI or something or LoDN, or something.

Just am now pulling files from CD2 out of 8 CD's for EQ install.

Thank you Yther. That is just what I wanted. :)

For the purposes of tagging gear and normal chat abbreviating, Yther's list is the best.

For the purposes of Looking for people using /who all commands you have to use slightly different terms.

BAR = Bard
BER = Berserker
BEA = Beastlord
CLE = Cleric
DRU = Druid
ENC = Enchanter
MAG = Magician
MON = Monk
NEC = Necromancer
PAL = Palading
RAN = Ranger
ROG = Rogue
SHA = Shadowknight
SHAM = Shaman
WAR = Warrior
WIZ = Wizard

I see. Very interesting.
Now this is kinda off-topic, but since this is my topic and still has to do with abbreations ingame, how about the abbreations of all the races?

I know there's a site somewhere that shows spells and items that are ingame and you can see the abbreations of the classes/races like they show them ingame.

In-game gear tags for races:

OGR - Ogre
TRL - Troll
HUM - Human
BAR - Barbarian
ERU - Erudite
ELF - Wood Elf
HIE - High Elf
DEF - Dark Elf
HEF - Half Elf
DWF - Dwarf
HFL - Halfling
GNM - Gnome
IKS - Iksar
VAH - Vah Shir
FRG - Froglok (actually Guktan)
DRK - Drakkin

The game recognizes many other races, which show up in /who all commands such as Wolf, Skeleton, Scarecrow, and other racial tags that there is no gear for and no meaningful in-game abbreviations for.

Wow lol, I guess I'm just a little old fashioned, and have the patience.

Damn you demo server with your constant arguments in the /ooc

And yes, I type in /ooc, /group, /guild, /reply <enter name here>, /say

I know. Shuddup

My advice is if you see an abbreviation you do not understand, ASK. Most people will politely tell you what they mean, and if not or they give you attitude, then they are not worth your time.
