What is the cheapest server to buy stuff?Follow

I used to have an account in EQ, in the Stromm server, I went in the Bazaar to upgrade my gear and was shocked at the price for the shoulders alone.
Not even did you have to buy them seperatly, but they where 1000p. To me that's a ripoff.

I told this to the Guild I was in and they told me that Stromm is the most expensive server in EQ.
I'm thinking of coming back, so I want to know what is the cheapest server in EQ?

It mostly depends on specific items. Some things on certain servers are way cheaper than others, while other items on the same server are alot more expensive than average. I wouldn't doubt Stromm is expensive for lower level gear, since it was originally the new player server in purpose and description. I find Tunare one of the best for less expensive lower-level gear, but I don't play on all servers, so there may be others. The main servers I play on are Druzzil Ro (Xev) and Tunare (E'ci). I used to play some on Firiona Vie and Stromm, but no longer do.

Generally if prices are high on a server, you can still afford to buy needed items, you just have to find what sells for high prices for the effort involved and farm those items. It's the same on less expensive servers. It's all about finding what sells good for the effort and buying what is reasonably priced for the effort / quality. 1KP, is not alot for a great item, nor a rarity. 1MP is not uncommon for extremely rare items (ones which no longer drop).

Also, with new expansions, especially The Serpent's Spine, there are plenty of relatively easy quests for excellent armor.

I see. So it's pretty much just a choice. Gotta get used to seeing everything "expensive" when it's not, and just bare with it.

I wouldn't say that's an accurate statement. Try the Test server. :) Admittedly the Bazaar vendor population has shrunk over the last few months but prices on Test are dramatically lower than on Live servers.

I moved from Povar to Stromm a little over a year ago. I thought the prices were cheaper on Stromm. As others have mentioned though, it's really the item, and even more so the timing (IMO).
