The Weekend Update - April 23rd, 2007Follow

Good morning fellow adventurers and adventuresses,

I had an unbelievable weekend in EQ (well, actually it was an unbelievable Thursday evening):

Thu: As my group mates were on holiday, I decided to do some things that were long overdue:

Went to City of Mist to get the key to the black reaver castle. The Captain of the Guard was up Smiley: eek

, I got the CoM key and opened the door to get it attached to my keyring. Done!

Then I decided to give Xalgoz a try for his fang. First visit to Kaesora ever, it seems to be a fun zone for lower levels! Camped the spawn point in the "church" for half an hour and got him to pop. He dropped the fang, first part of the Charasis key done! Smiley: grin

On to Lake of Ill Omen to have one more look for the Bloodgill Marauder - and he was up!!! Smiley: yikes

Got his Piece of a Medallion, already had the one of an ancient Jarsath (who jumped me when I did the Kunark scavenger hunt two weeks ago). Done!

"So maybe this is my lucky day" I thought, and went to the western part of the zone for the Chancellor Of Di`Zok - and he was up!!!!! Smiley: jawdrop

I looted the Jade Chokidai Prod, second part of the Charasis key done!

Handed in the fang and the prod to Dugroz in Swamp of No Hope, got the Key to Charasis and picked up the third piece of the Jarsath Medallion (ground spawn). Done!

Entered Charasis for the first time ever to get the key attached to my keyring, then headed for Timorous Deep and handed all three Pieces of a Medallion to Xiblin - Medallion of the Jarsath (first part of old VP key) done! Smiley: yippee

Afterwards, I went to Dranik's Scar and got three of the four drops for the Dranik's Hot Zone Task as well as a brand new hot zone augment (STR +10 HP +30 CR +10) and the missing 3% of level - dinged 57! Smiley: king

Days like these are one the reasons why I still play EQ, more than 6 years after my first log in to Norrath. In about three hours, I killed mobs and got drops many players spend days or even weeks on!

Fri-Sun: No EQ, a friend of mine came to visit us for the weekend. We had great days and great nights. Smiley: boozing

Friday: Got in Demo loaded up Mage got to level 12, then made a necro which i got to 11, then went to bed

Saturday: Loaded up Necro, messed around a little bit, then got SK to level 7, went and closed work.

Sunday: Made a monk, leveled to 5, worked, came home and realized skills sucks, got to level 9 with sub par skills, 1hb still low, but DW is at 68.

Hopefully I get full game on Tuesday, and I can give interesting updates.

I don't know what to make main. Monk is an okay class for me, had a lot of fun with mage, found it easy, necro is something different tho, a little tougher because of constant downtime, but still fun as well....Should play all of them to level 25 then decide from there I guess.

Another nice Sunday of Eq. Smiley: grin

Took Cleric to Howling Stones ( nice to see you got the key,BBOT. And yeah,I still go to Kaesora with low level toons.)

Cleric got 5 Aa's in Howling stones ( one more to go for my critical damage AA) Got trained twice by two monks pkin each other. Fortunately I was in the "basement" of the North wing, and was able to use the teleport to the entrance so I could gate. Smiley: waycool

Also went to Veskar, and the mobs are higher there and give more exp, but also alot more pkers there. Left a ranger who attacked me with 3 mobs( to bad rangers cant gate) Smiley: sly

Finished the day by buffing in the pok. People are always shocked when I give temp for free, with Marr's blessings. That is what us clerics like to do. Also rezzed two in guild lobby.

Another good day. All Hail the Combine Reborn. Smiley: bowdown

Thursday ranger Adeste was in DSP. Working on the corrupted shards. Since the undead were mostly geen and giving some exp decided it would be worth it. Died twice to the necro, but got some 100 plat imtems off the vamp skirmisher. Including a nice drop for cleric who I had brought in to rezz and heal after the second death. Took paladin for a run to Grey. At zone line Killed a mob or two, LB mostly but a few db and one had blood for shaman alchemy.
Friday Home from work in time for raid. Only 2 groups so we ended up doing a kill for mage 1.5 epic in cobalt. No luck getting group going so I buffed and rezzed as the cleric.
Sat. Home too late to join raid. So after a few min of buffing and rezz work took cleric to NC with Joltin Joes warrior. Our dps was not great but I was getting exp. Warrior had a double pull so he valiently held them off while I gated. (MEM gate, refresh icon, cast. ) His OT hammer did not proc so in time so I rezzed.
Sunday Home late and tired. Just sat back and watched Sopranos and played Civ2.
