Thinking of returning to eq Follow

Hello,

The first mmorpg game i bought was eq2. My computer did not run it well so i switched to the original eq. I never got to tell how eq2 was due to the major lag i got from it. When i got the original eq everything was fine up till i left the newbie training zone.

I recieved no help in towns or directions. I died several times and had to find my body which took almost over an hour at times. To make it worse, i wasnt thrilled with the fact i loose my stuff if i dont get back to my corpse within a certian amount of time (aka my collectors edition items).

Afterwards, i let my subscription run out and switched to WoW. I reached lvl 70 and feel now is a good time to try this game out again.

Should i return or is this game a dying breed.

P.s : If there is any guides telling about quests and where to train please post them as well. I never found any, another reason i quit.
