I've been out of Everquest since about the beginning of Depths of Darkhollow. Before that I was a veteren/ experienced player since Pre-Kunark. I've been thinking of comming back and was wondering how the community is surviving. Is it worth it to come back/ still fun? And what are the first things I need to check up on if I want to come back, account is still mine too.

I would first refer you to this stickied post. It begins with info geared towards the new player, but keep scrolling down and it covers stuff new to returning players.
I suggest jumping back into the game and come on back here with specific questions about anything new or different that you may have. I'm sure people around here will be happy to try answer them

I would also suggest that you pick up the Anniversary special edition that SOE is offering for a limited time. For $20 you can get all of the expansions.
DoN, PoR, and the TSS expansions have all been great for gearing up casual players (haven't tried TBS, so no comment there).

Thanks for the help. I'm gonna give it a go I think. Though if I decide to stay long term, I'll only be casual long enough to reacquaint myself and gear up hehe. Have the min requirements hardware wise changed? I've been on the same laptop for a while and I have 760 or so Ram but only a 16mb video card.
