Item Collector / Upload to Lucy / ProfilesFollow

Can someone please either explain these things in detail,
or point me to somewhere that explains those things?

I was asked to upload an item to Lucy, but I spent about
2 hours Friday searching for how to do that, without
success.

I downloaded and installed the Item Collector, but it
did not do anything, nor did it show any profiles, so
there must be more to it.
