I have encountered an unusual promblem in game. On one of my accounts I am able to log in with only one of my characters - the other 7 toons get the message that "EQ has detected that your character may have crashed"

I have replicated this promblem on 3 other computers - all of which are very high level boxes. So, I don't think it's a prom on my end, but, duh, can't find an answer on automated Tech Support. Anyone have any ideas - this is my tradeskill mule account and had planned to do serious tradeskilling this week-end.

Do a full file check. SOunds to me like the zone files may be out of date.

Have you had that account logged on since TBS? If not do you have custom UI's on those toons? That was the problem I had when TBS first came out. I could get on of them in game but not any others. You can either delete the UI files, besides for default one or find updates for yours.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I did a full file check right away. Well, actually the wife ran into the prom while I was out of town - I ran file check 2 days laer. Made no difference.

And this account gets logged on a lot - we both doa fair amount of tradeskilling and this is an account set up with nothing but tradeskill mules.

Interestingly enough- it has started working on one of our computers - but still does not work on the other 3 boxes.

Got a quick response from sony tech support - but nothing they recommend has helped so far. I even deleted the entire game and reloaded it last night - with no change on the box that I did that with. Just worked onit untill 3 this morning.

Updated that to tech support and they ahve another "fix" for me to try tonight. maybe that will work - but if not, I quit, it works on one box and that will let us get to our trdeskill stuffwhen we need it.

If it does work I'll post here - Kao assures me that the tech forum is still up - but I don't go over to the main page anymore - what it was that worked, if it does.

I had the same message on chars i used custom interfaces/interface pieces on.
Since you can use diff interfaces on different computers for the same char, you can probably log the char on one computer when you couldn't on the other.

I don't remember where i read it, but when you delete or rename your 'custom' interface folder in the everquest files and try to log in your char, it will reset to the default interface and you should be able to login your character again.

Hope that helps =)
