Anybody know how to get him to pop? Been running all over EW for hours.
You may get him to pop when using the same strategy as for snow griffins:
The secret is to circle between Kael Drakkal entrance, the huts with Icefang in the South and Sleeper's Tomb entrance, killing every mob you see. Regular Snow Bunnies as well as the Fabled one should pop in this area.

Last year I found him up a couple times between the orc fort and the bridge to Iceclad, in that area with all the dervishes and wolves and such.
I've spawned him by slaying snow bunnies only.
Helps much to have a tracker.

Has anybody here ever actually seen him?
'cause, like, bunnies are apparently placeholders for griffins, as well as the Fabled bunny himself. So when you zone in and there's no bunnies at all... how do you get them to pop? Kill griffins?
Bah. Anyway, after killing 45 mobs, I finally got "a" bunny to pop; however, after killing literally 100 mobs trying to get the fabled to pop, I've decided he doesn't really exist.

Yeah kill all mobs where the bunnies pop. There are different placeholders..not just the bunnies. I got the Fabled to pop that way.

If he hasn't got the bunny to pop in 6 years, my guess is he has given up. 
But, speaking of the Fabled Bunny, my girlfriend has created a guild on her server called Snow Bunny Patrol, and is all hyped about getting the hat. She's only been playing a couple of months now, but I AM impressed with her progress. She has yet to purchase her own account, so now I have to fight for time to play my chars.
