New player asking a questionFollow

Well technically not new yet, I did original play the game waaayyy back near like planes of power but we won't get into that, I've been playing Everquest 2 and recently got Vanguard, so I'm using the station all access so that I can play all the other games as well, because hey a 17 year old geek needs his games. Anyways so i decided that, heck guess I'll play the original everquest again, so I'm going this weekend to buy the platinum edition, which i think only goes up to dragons of Norrath. So thats leaves me with having to buy a few expansion, i do want to buy the serpent spine one so i can play as the new races, actually be able to level with people on account some people are rolling new ones (not as many as when the expansion first came out) but i'm guessing still a few, my question is (at last) are the newer expansion (after the platinum edition) direct download only or can i still buy those ones in stores? Also another pretty bad question but what server would be worth starting on? (i know how people don't like people asking this question but i want to end up on a server with some people)

I would recommend getting the Titanium expansion if your coming back as it is only 20 dollars and will save you money on a few expansions the Platinum edition doesn't have. https://store.station.sony.com/hardgood.j...0106-EQTITA is the link.

from what I have read server populations are all about the same wherever you go, so can't answer that one. But hope you enjoy getting back in the game.

See my post in this thread.

It covers quite a bit about what you are asking.

You can also just play on Test Server even if you only have original everquest on your station account. Test Server gets all expansions for free you just have to download them with the patcher.

The population on Test is very low and you will have to solo to about 50-60ish before you can really get into grouping.

True test is very good for new players, you only need 1 person per group/raid to get into any flag-needed zone... but, like mentioned above, the population is low, which can lessen the experience. Depending on the type of player...
I'd say, casual player - chose test, more than casual - chose a reg server (Antonius Bayle always needs more nerds.)

So, if you play on test you can play for free? (except for account fees).

If you where a boxer who didn't group much, this might be nice. Just download EQ Trilogy for free and then it saves you having to pay for everything X2. Pretty nice.
