Hello everyone (*^.^)

I bought the platinum pack a couple of weeks ago and love the game so far. I was wondering based on the overall place the game is at today, which expansions would you all say that I should buy soon? The platinum pack comes with the original game plus the first 7 expansions. Thanks!

Well, you really should have bought Titanium to start with. Original EQ and the first 10 expansions, $19.99. It would still be the cheapest way for you to get the DoDh, OoW and DoN expansions. But if I were you I'd wait to pick up Titanium until you had decided you were definetely going to stay with the game. Alot of the grouping opportunities in EQ for lower levels are in the hot zones, which you will have most of with Platinum. TSS still seems to have alot of people leveling in it and offers some very nice gear for all levels, so if you absolutely have to spend some money right now, that would be my recomendation. PoR is mainly only used for AA's(Dain missions) and raiding, so you can put off buying it right now. And I wouldn't worry about the latest expansion, TBS.

My advice is try out what you have with Platinum. Then go
1)TSS- for gear and grouping
2)Titanium pack- this would give you 11 of the first 12 expansions
3)PoR- offers some nice upper-mid and high level gear, and AAxp'ing
4)TBS- if you've bought everything else and still like the game, you'll want to "catch 'em all"

There may be a new compilation pack coming out sometime soon. SOE had plans to release one around christmas of last year and then scraped it, but they should eventually release "EverQuest:Plutonium" or some such, which would likely include all the expantions up to and including TSS.

Thank you very much ^^

I didn't learn about titanium until after I had purchased platinum ; ; but I might have just gone with platinum anyways because it was downloadable, whereas titanium wasn't available from station.com, and it would have been awhile before I could have gotten to a store to get it.

Thank you again for the information, I love the game so far. If only there were more low level people to group with I wouldn't feel like I "had" to play necro if I ever wanted to get "decent" exp. But that being said, I am in love with my necro so it worked out alright XD

I laughed at this, as it costs as much as each of the expantion packs singley, hehe.

EQ Titanium from sony store - $19.99
EQ Platinum from sony store - $19.99 :O

Platinum + all expansions (Including buried sea $29.99) = $134.94
Titanium + all expansions (Including buried sea) = $109

Whoops. Smiley: lol Have a hard time thinking you'd rather download something straight away and have it cost $25 more than order it from the shops...

Also i read you can download EQ: Trilogy for free now. Awesome!

When I want something, I want it now lol. When my friend aroused my interest by talking about the game, after I looked at the game online for awhile I wanted to play.

So it was either download and play tonight, or get it sometime next week. Plus like I said I didn't know there was a titanium pack when I bought the platinum. But the titanium pack is not the first 11 exp's its only the first ten (see http://store.station.sony.com/hardgood.jsp?SKU=EQTNM-HG-SW0106-EQTITA ). And they are out of stock :P

Soloing to level 50 should not take too too long. Than after that Grieg's End (affectionately known as "GE") is becoming the new place to gather for groupage and fun. Anywhere from 10 to 30 people are fighting there at any time, at least during the peakish kinds of hours, and getting groups is usually very doable. It is especially good if you play even half way decently and have good manners, as there is a growing core set of people that are there on a regular basis.

I should not say this because I do not want to jinx it... but GE is bringing back the old flavor of Everquest, and it is rekindling my interest in playing. After a fairly long break from EQ (mostly due to low population of lower level areas) I am back into it. Which of course causes its OWN set of problems...
