they messed up the new patcher, so if anyone is downloading with the new patcher don't bother, because they switched it over, it is trying to download all of eq again, a way to fix this is to find the folder that the new patcher is downloading to and copy and paste all of your eq files to it.

Yeah, it's trying to download befallen.s3d or some nonsense. Can't they do anything without it not working? =p

hehe no, from what I have been reading on the eq forums it is a stupid error that happened the last time they changed the patcher, and I hate the launcher thing anyway, we just have to wait now and jack our meat till they fix what they screwed up ....I'm pissed.

Old patcher is back now, hurray.
Yes, you will get the old patcher back after closing the new one, but it is still attempting to download all of EQ. SOE says they will notify us when the patcher is repaired, according to Station.com. You may want to check there for further info before wasting any more of your time.

The new patcher was downloading old files for zones. The old patcher redownloaded the new versions of the zone the new patcher overwrote. Does that make any sense? =p As long as you have the old patcher you will be downloading the right things, and you just have to wait for server unlock. 2x exp would be nice though ;)
I'd rather not see 2x exp. unless many many many more issues arise....people perk up at the thoughts of another 2x exp. weekend every major patch now...they give out one for one messy day of patchwork and people will be demanding it every time they catch a few moments of in-game lag....
...and I, umm, totally am not biased considering the fact I missed out 100% on the last 2x exp. weekend, ahem... =p

So I started downloading again.......Estimated time (Yes, I realize that this IS an ESTIMATED time) has gone from 4 hours to 8 hours......Very interesting.
