from the SOE forms site

The EverQuest servers are currently down for the scheduled Game Update for The Buried Sea expansion. The servers are expected to be back up around 4:00 pm Pacific Time. We will keep you posted if delays occur. Thank you!.

2am to 4 pm is not 12 hrs. If delays occur it already has should read if further delays occur.

I'd be perfectly happy with them taking a full 24 hours to get it right, if it would mean no major gameplay bugs/issues for the next week(s)

Here's to hoping its at least as smooth as the TSS launch was...

Not to be rude but have you ever been around for a patch before? They are never on time.

Don't forget about the servers going down without notice to fix the exploit that nobody noticed. Then the patch to fix the main patch and then again for the patch to fix the patch that was supposed to fix the original patch.

This used to be pretty common with every expansion release I went through. Most people know that the week after is going to be a nightmare.

TSS wasn't all that bad. I have a feeling that was because they had no idea how to fix the memory leak caused by the graphics. Can't patch it if they don't know how.

BTW, have they fixed that yet or are they ignoring it still?
