Morning everyone, here is the weekend update:

Fri: Had a very nice walk in the center of Vienna. It's ball season, and we met lots of people with swallow-tailed coats, tuxedos and ball gowns - very stylish!

Sat: Spent the whole day at home, but didn't do anything special.

Sun: We went to see my girlfriend's family and celebrated her sister's birthday. Returned home quite late.

Oh, yes, no EQ for me.

Loser! Smiley: grin

Took my shadowknight on Sleeper up to level 22 so that's, erm, about a five level gain over the weekend. The stories behind it aren't very exciting -- I camped the Burynai Explorer in Kurn's for the plate arms (Hot Zone drop) which took me to level 20 and then went to Unrest. I've killed the Ghoul Basher (plate legs) about six times now but it keeps dropping the same earring.

Got into a couple groups in Unrest which was kind of fun since I'd soloed up until now. No horror stories; everyone played pretty well and it was refreshing to see how many people had gear as gimpy as mine (or, in one case, waaayyy gimpier). The only downside of the weekend was someone PL'ing their character in Unrest by repeatedly dragging the entire basement up through the house and AE'ing it with their high level cleric in the courtyard. Not much fun to try to camp the front hall and alcoves with someone doing that.

Friday night went on a PoI raid. Played the zerker rather than the cleric and had a blast. I'm really enjoying playing the zerker. She had dinged 59 just the night before.

No EQ on Saturday. Spent all day moving out all the junk we had been storing in our upstairs apartment so that my sister can move in at the end of the month. I'm a packrat, so we had a ton of stuff to move down to the basement. I did put some stuff out in the trash and some in a pile for a future yard sale, so hopefully I'm on the way to becoming a reformed packrat.

Sunday - I was so sore from going up and down stairs the day before I could barely move, so I played EQ all day. (Sounded like a good reason to me. Smiley: jester ) Took the zerker to CT with the cleric to babysit and slogged all the way through level 59 and 2/5 ths the way through 60!!! Got the hotzone aug for both, as well. Guildies joined throughout the day and we had a great time laying waste to all the lil lizards. Very fun! With the zerker, I plan on finishing lvl 60, get a buffer into 61 and then back to AAs. The more AAs I get, the more I want. Smiley: grin

Very productive week-end all the way around.

Thought NDA was lifted for TBS?

Hubby and I sat down to play a couple times this weekend but we just weren't yin-yanging at all and got nothing accomplished. S'ok though, we had a great date Saturday night, including a long (partially) moonlit walk.

Guild raid Sunday was our first attempt on Warlord Rally. We got our butts kicked.Smiley: bah We were knocking down RZ ok, but the adds got away from our kiters and wiped the raid. We intend to try again next weekend. Any tips would be welcome.

Friday night I spent about 3 hours boxing an odd duo in the tutorial, necro shammy. No intention of playing them together in the long run, I was just working on getting them some levels and out to Crescent Reach. I think I'm going to end up teaming the shammy with my wizard, a beastlord or bezerker with my druid, and just solo with the necro.

Didn't get a chance to play anymore this past weekend, but there's always hope for tonight.

Friday night I helped kill Ixiblat for one of my ally guild's clerics, and then we headed to fear to try and get some more epic drops for some warriors and a wizard. We were doing fine till someone decided to engage a non-aggro Zerker epic mob who ended up wiping us. Ireblind Imp, I think it was, and it just AE mezzed us and took us out. Looong wipe, took like twenty minutes and then he camped our corpses, so we summoned to the guild lobby and headed to Kael. Killed in the Arena for a couple hours; all in all a good night.

Saturday night there were rumors we would be hitting Hate, so I stocked up on beer. Well, we ended up skipping hate and instead went after some spirits for a guildie beastlord's epic. Took down three of them, and he only has one fight left now. Ended up in a group in Grieg's, and got pretty drunk.

Sunday, woke up and found out I had spent several thousand plat twinking out a ranger and leveling her to ten. My guild has zero rangers, so I know I'd been thinking of rolling one just for scouting purposes, it was still a surprise to find that I actually had, though.

The weekend was one big blur. Went from 37-40 on the Beastlord, made some new friends on Firiona Vie, watched the guild drama take an interesting turn, recruited someone for the guild, and chatted over TeamSpeak.

Non-EQ - Broke up with the girlfriend, which sucked more than I can tell you. Hung out in the Computer Club on campus with some of the guys and played F.E.A.R and COD2. It was theraputic.

Thursday Since I was off work I was duoing in the hole with the cleric and ranger. Also with the two clerics. Got the aug drop for the cleric no luck on a second one. I started the paladin running around the moors doing some of the lower quests.
Friday I was again off so a bit more time in the hole. Cleric and ranger dinged 42 and 43. Died twice when I just couldnt root the adds fast enough and when the mob started running my snare failed.
Friday evening I raided (along with folks from Lucky Insane and Carpe Nocturnos) POI with the cleric. Kept my tank alive, too bad mandie wasnt in my group as well.
Saturday was a day of work and the Science Fiction Society meeting. So the only eq action was making plat off the trader. ALmost enough earned to get the troll the GM chest armor and aug. Watched the history channel program on Constellation :Battling for Freedom. Know two of the "talking heads" they used. Program was good historic backgroud but VERY CHEESY ship portrayal. US sailors did not eat at tables, they ate sitting on the deck around a square mess cloth. (Hence the term Square meal.)
Sunday. Work then home to run paladin around moors some more.

On Friday (or Thursday, I forget) I finally finished a multi-week endeavor to achieve warmly faction with Dranik Loyalists and turned in components for my first Tier 1 OoW armor piece. Going from threatening to warmly takes a *long* time!

I also attended the Xanamech (sp?) raid with Nightwatch and was the tank Jonwin kept alive - it was after Xanamech when we decided to kill the chanter epic 1.5 mob with its blind spell that seemed to coincide with adds. It's called a greasy something-or-other and I think it was more fun than the dragon. :)

Helped a very good friend finish his magician 1.5, did the final fight with 10 group geared toons boxed by 4 highly skilled people, which is a task if you've ever looked up the elemental essence of air (over the course of the fight it spawns 20 adds, not all at once but it was a very long fight. Downed fire and earth earlier in the day, and not with the cheapo chain pet method). Got some more power sources, did epic work on mage and druid 1.5s (goblin hide and seek was fun for the record) and the mage finally dinged 75. Slept quite a bit, and desperately searched for TBS info since the NDA has been lifted. I can never get into beta because I work at night, and I hate seeing the "yeah, I left eq 3 years ago when I had a level 17 warrior but I tried beta and it's not worth coming back" posts because I always try to get in. Oh well, guess I'll see what it's all about in a week or so, 12 hour shifts leave little time to play eq during the week.

Have had really no EQ time between work and being sick. Never really fun to feel crappy for an extended period of time.

Got my bard to 64 on The Combine on Saturday night... then couldn't play until today. And now there's a patch! Woo!

I've been taking a short break from EQ while I figure out how to make the game a little less boring(I got bored because I never had anyone to play with).

During my break, I've been playing CS again.

I'll probably be back to EQ in a week or so.
