Hello, i quit playing shortly after capping @ 65, and cant even remember what expansion i was on. Anyway i'll be starting fresh again and was wondering what of the 13 expansions are must haves 1-60? I really dont want to buy em all and decide not to play after 20-30 levels, so i was thinking of buying the platinum package. will that tide me over?

Everquest has "hot zones" now - zones that give double experience to encourage players to congregate in those zones. All of the hot zones are in the Everquest Platinum package. So that may work.

Keep in mind that if you remember your username and password from before, or remember enough information to have your password reset, you can just download the patcher and log in after the patcher downloads however much of the game you want.

If you can swing it, the expansion called The Serpents Spine takes place in some added zones on the original continent and the expansion contains well done content for all levels from 1-75. You will also be able to keep up to date in the gear department.

REally Id just buy Titanium. It includes more expansions then platinum and its the same cost. I still see it at most local stores that sell PC games.

Honestly this game has probably changed alot since you last played. IF you capped off at lvl 65 you probably quit somewhere between Planes of Power and Gates of Discord.

Im not going to say if you should or not, but the game has changed quite abit in the past year or so I think. Players have gotten so picky it can be difficult to form groups. Alot of people simply refuse to group with somebody they don't know because *Gasp* they might have a bad group. Others won't join unless you agree to hunt in one particular spot. That can be hard when you got the healer only wanting to hunt in Zone A and the tank wants to hunt in Zone b. We of course can't forget about the people who want to be the last person to join a perfectly formed group.

At lower levels this is not so much a problem, but it does become a problem once you get up to about lvl 55+. That is the biggest reason I canceled both of my accounts. If you have alot of friends to go back to then ID say you won't have a problem. Otherwise be prepared to spend more time LFG and/or soloing at higher levels then actually hunting.

I would recommend that you purchase The Serpents Spine expansion in addition to Titanium. The reason is that starting fresh will leave you in serious need of gear. TSS has two low level sets of quest armor that can help you get started.

At level 20 you can get your first armor set. The quest items all drop in Blightfire Moors. Kinem Saydel in Crescent Reach is the quest NPC.

There is another set of armor that becomes available at level 45. Scout Madu in Goru'kar Mesa is the quest giver.

There are also many other good low level quests that start in Crescent Reach and Blighfire Moors.

Considering the fact that you are likely starting out broke and naked, you can't beat this armor as a starter kit.
