I have a 69 bst that ive been playing for almost a year.. some baz gear, some raid but not much. I have no problem getting groups. The bst has decent dps and plenty of utility for a hybrid. You're not gonna out damage any of the pure melee classes but the bst's survivability is a nice trade off. The only thing that sucks about the bst is the pet's survivability in raid content. Once your pets gone half of your dps is as well. (too bad there isn't an aa where the bst and his pet could become one for 10 minutes for this very reason) Anyway imo it's a fun class to play and i wouldn't trade him for anything

That seems like a great idea. Why not a new line of AA's for beastlords that will increase pet survivability substantially? It isn't like they are overpowered with that pet, so why would it be a problem allowing that pet to last longer?

Edit: I just had to see what ya'll were talking about concerning Jolting Joe. Kinda sorry I did that...but he does bring up at least 1 valid point. Can pet push be toned down a bit? It's pretty bad these days.

Darnit all. I was having fun playing my bst, and in raid guild to boot. I wish someone had told me before now how useless we are; I wouldn't have wasted all my guildies time.

oh well...level 26 Ranger, LFG

damn me didn't know i was a useless class, kinda funny considering i'm one of my guilds core raiders and average about 1200 dps on longer raid fights, short burn style ones I can and have gone much higher then that. Oh and for info the guild i am in farms demiplane and death knell while working on TSS. So maybe not end game but not a slouch guild by no means. JJ has no clue really what bsts can do, I'm thinking it quite possibly is that he is envious

I have access to a DP bst, and let me tell you, hes so much fun, i've played alot of toons, most DP geared, and bst is one of the funniest imho. Justin has no idea what hes talking about if you ask me. If you truely think bst's are useless then you havent played high end, infact to me it seems that your bragging.

I am a DP bst too. Dude! you must be a fool to think beastlords are useless. I have taken down name mobs solo, whereas it take a full group to do it. You just dont know how to play the class well enough then. With a good amount of AA's, we are by far a full group all by ourself (heal, slow, pet, haste, buff, etc). They can farm $$ cuz of taking down name mobs will default loot to them instead of /random 100 for it...If i had to start all over...Bsts will be my first choice.

well, let's not gild the lilly. i love playing my beast--in fact, it's the second char i started after growing increasingly disillusioned with my first char. indeed, the class fits me like a glove and the couple of alts i have are no where near as comfortable to play.

for well nigh 3 years or thereabouts, i've played my beast with a great amount of satisfaction. yet, the old maxum holds true that we are our worst critics; one need only read through the forums on beastlords.org to understand the truth.

we don't always bring a lot to the table. we're useful, but not the point where a raid or group (instanced or otherwise) comes to a grinding halt b/c there are no beasts.
