A weight-reducing satchel? Cool. A free mount? Cool. A faction modifier? No, thank you...

If anyone's interested, here are (again) the other expansion gimmicks:

Lost Dungeons of Norrath (box): Satchel of Abu-Kar

Gates of Discord (box): Taelosian Morphemic Staff

Omens of War (box): Burning Crystal Shard or Frozen Crystal Shard

Dragons of Norrath (box): Elixir of Refreshment and Elixir of Replenishment

Lol, I was just digging through my infrequently used Wiz last night and found that she still has 6 jugs of Health Elixir on her from the DoN reward. Smiley: grin

I think DoN was the last box I bought.

I'm trying to figure out the real bonus with the Aviak Totem. The expansion will likely only be digital, so the bonus item will come to ANYone who buys the expansion. Those that don't buy the expansion won't be able to use those zones anyways.

So, it seems that anyone using the expansion will have increased faction for better rewards. The lesser rewards will go to those that don't bother to type /claimreward.

Edit: Rereading the op I see the catch will be the 'pre-order'. No pre-order no prize?

I haven't even claimed my robo-boar, elixers or gatgoyle tooth yet. I get a message regarding them every time I log in.

Since SOE seems to have given up on boxed expansions, the new thing is apparently "You get something if you pre-order". Sounds considerably less attractive to me.

My robo-boar is on a Shammy on Povar. The only toon I have left there besides a trader full of junk. I kept her because of the stupid boar.

I wonder if there will be a way to faction up to the same level as you'd be with the Aviak Totem, so you can get better rewards?

I might of considered a pre-order for a pet parrot or an eye-patch.

I'd assume so. There's a faction cap so it stands to reason that you could eventually get Max Ally the hard way. It'll just take a lot more mind numbing faction grinding.

I dutifully claimed ny gargoyle tooth for each account, but have never used them. In fact I no loner even recall what they are used for?

Of all the "rewards" the only one of any use to me has been the port stick to Cresent Reach. Quite useful to an alt shadowkight who gets left behind by an emergency succour from time to time. The ranger never needs it he is usually dead of course :P

I must be said though, the Vets rewards are very useful.

I guess that the reward will only be for those who pre-order the expansion. But even if everyone gets it by downloading TBS, you can only claim it on one character, and your other characters will have to do faction work to get the same rewards.

You hand it in to a NPC in PoK; this enables you to use the gargoyle shroud form.
