Listened to the Superbowl while playing EQ last night. Smiley: grin

I finally got my level 55 aura this weekend, and a bunch o' AA's. That was about it really. Sunday raid was called for football, bleh.

Started an Erudite shadownight on Sleeper (Inle v2.0). Killed a bunch of tutorial kobolds. Killed some Warrens kobolds. Went to Nek Forest and killed a bunch of skeletons for calcified bone drops. Killing about fifteen bajillion skeletons gave me the drops for two bracers and a pair of gauntlets. But at least I can find the mobs, unlike my cleric's futile hunt for giant king snakes.

Left the tutorial for good at level 11 equipped with a mixed set of tutorial plate and Fell Blade (newbie) armor. Spent my pennies on a few bits of cheapo jewelry (Ring of Quintessence! Rrwar!) and someone gave me a Blackened Alloy Longsword. So now I'm l33t.

@Elinda: Have patience, young Jedi. Smiley: tongue

Thu: Nice LDoN and some combines for the PoR pottery and jewelcraft trophies.

Fri: Found the "new comments" section here on Alla and love it! Should have noticed it years ago... Smiley: blush

Sat-Sun: Drove about 900 km (about 560 miles) for a birthday party. Drank a lot. Was too tired to watch Superbowl, I needed the sleep... (Btw, here in Austria the transmission startet at midnight.)

Friday night I was grinding in a guild group in Grieg's, made 53.

Saturday I was soloing in the Hole, made 54.

Sunday we tried to do the Trial of Execution in PoJ about half a dozen times. We had myself: a 54 mage, a 61 pally, 61 rogue, 54 bard, 61 monk and his boxed 62 shammy. The idea was to do this trial instead of leveling the bard and myself to 55 so we could all hit PoV together. It did not work out; the group just did not have the DPS. We could kill the mobs in time with me just chain-nuking, but I would naturally pull aggro and die and stuff. Still a good time with guildies, though, and something I had personally never attempted.

Joph, let me know if you want some twink stuff. I have a MoSS sitting on my trader that won't sell for 25pp and I have some shield with 20% haste. You know you want it.

I'll hit you up sometime when I see you on. I usually do a /who all for you when I'm on and then a single tear runs down my cheek as you play with the big kids.

Then I kill kobolds.

On thursday I think I ran my ranger to unrest. At 41 zone is not a challenge but I wanted to try for the aug drop. Killed a few dozen mobs but no luck.
Friday I logged on the cleric to do my turn ins for epic. Now I have to go to Naggy Lair for the next step. Next up was Alliance raid. Logged on shaman by request, trigger mob for raid was not up so we popped over to PoV to kill the named in the fiends cave. Easy job, mostly, I won the roll on the chain pants and also received a 64 spell off the parchment drops.
Saturday was more ranger action in Unrest. Killed the Ghost for the first time ever. NO BOOTS. ( Again killed a few dozen mobs, no augment drop. Im taking him to the hole instead.
Sunday. Mostly spent time removing gear and moving items around. Started a drakkin mage but decided it was not going to get played much so will delete it. Doing so will enable me to bring Jonwin to Povar. He is the only toon still on MorrelThule/Emarr. Ran Elnes chanter to pok, picked up a spell or two and ran her to Kaladim to unload a supply of Crushbone belts and pads.
This morning I made Courtin the Ornate boots and one bracer as minor upgrades to his gear.

2 group "raided" with my guildies and completed another beastlord 1.5 and got my clerics 1.5. The final fight on the cleric turned into a circus cause I didn't see one of the adds spawn and it went rampaging through casters before I found it. Bad offtank. Once I found it we burnt it then kited the named till I could rez everything then we tried again and when the 4 names spawned they seemed immune to AE agro so people died again and kited down the named with sk and ranger on trueshot chasing and pelting. No summon for the win. Rezzed up and killed the last 4 adds for vengence. Also took down ragewind and torg in devistation for some guildie upgrades. got 3 TSS BP molds, 2 plate 1 cloth which was good cause Ella's been running around without a robe for 74 levels. Got a few powersources in Verg. mines. All in all a very productive EQ weekend and had a lot of fun.

Spent most of the weekend playing with my little girl and spending time with my wife because...

I STARTED MY NEW JOB ON MONDAY!!!!

While some might say taking money from the Feds/State is just a way of getting back what I put into it in the form of taxes, for just such occasions when you find yourself out of work through no fault of your own, it doesn't make you feel less of a $hit for not having a job in the first place. However, Monday brought back a sense of accomplishment I haven't had in a while! The pay is only slightly less than what I was making at the old job, but it's entry, and with LOTS of room for advancement, so it's an investment which I intend to capitalize on to the fullest extent. Also, no more worrying if I would be able to afford the birth of our new daughter (due literally any day now) since the health care offered took effect the moment I walked in the door this morning. I didn't even care that it was -4F when I left for work, and my nostrils froze shut on the ride in, I got me a job again!

This round is on me folks! Smiley: boozing

Grats Odzmye, that's really cool... I'm sharing your happiness!

Only last week one of my job applications got rejected after the third and final round, and I really wanted that job... I know how you must feel now that the waiting is over! Smiley: clap
