Morning everyone!

Thu: Was late for the weekly EQ meeting and arrived when the others had already finished. Tried to complete a task in Plane of Growth but died. Decided to do some Bazaar diving and got a couple of very cheap very nice equipment upgrades!

Fri-Sun: Returned home to celebrate my cousin's 30th birthday. No big party, just a few drinks on Saturday evening.

That's all, what did you do?

I'd started a cleric on Sleeper, just to see what the server was like. Very low populations, especially for the sub-55 range meant that I didn't see another person anywhere near my level once I left the tutorial. I scraped and fought for some gear, completing the gauntlets and helm from the Pestilience Priest newbie set, did some quest for a set of shoulders and the rest is filled with assorted Gloomingdeep (tutorial) armor. Unfortunately, the Pest. Priest armor requires giant king snake skins and, since giant king snakes are damned near impossible to find... well, anyway.

Reached level 11 by the end of it. Would have gotten further if I wasn't wasting a ton of time trying to track non-existant quest mobs but I've gotta get myself dressed.

Did a bit of grindage with my husband on Friday night. Got the changling aug from Cazic Thule for both of us.

We had nearly 30 people gathered for Sunday's raid, but not a cleric in the bunch. After conning one poor cleric to come along we took out the Zek sibs (again). I'm seeing where this back-flagging business can be awfully frustrating.

I grew a new Dark Elf Disciple to level 10 in Vanguard Smiley: wink.

I began the painful process of getting myself to "warmly faction" for OoW armor quests ... made it from threatening to apprehensive. I figure it will take about 650 more kills in Dranik's Scar.

I "helped" Lucky Insane get a few epic drops from Chardok royals. I put "helped" in quotes because they handled everything very easily, including an overpull of about 10 mobs that included the king. It was fun.

Oh, I also discovered I can last about 8 seconds if I get aggro from Tarlang, the epic 1.5 mob, in NC during that raid. I could probably stretch it to about 15 seconds if I use discs but I think I'll need a few more levels before trying to be in the tank order for that mob. Smiley: smile

I just did some trade skill stuff on Sunday.
The Saturday I tried out a new game. Like the fact that it does have a set storyline and nice graphics. New interface took some getting use to.

Thursday-Sunday: Was sick for most of that time, so I mostly slept and played EQ. Rolled a Vah Shir beastlord (yeah, I know, everyone and their cousin has one) on the Firiona Vie server and managed to join an evil RP guild. Roleplayed and level grinded until around nine on Sunday. He's level 24 now, and I'm amazed at how fast the levels go by, even when soloing.

Other than that, I worked on my 'zerker, but quickly grew bored as there were no groups to found. Soloing is getting too difficult with him. >_<

I cybored with Joph and offered him twink gear, but he refused, citing that he is not that kind of lady.

My guild on Sleeper did our final Naggy/Vox runs this weekend, having collected all the scales we need for current memebers and banking a couple of each for future members. Last night we also hit the arena in Kael for awhile, and then a group of us went to KC to help with some epic fights. It's like being in 2000 all over again, but it's alot of fun if you missed it the first time. Or if you're just cyboring with Jophiel.

Was mostly a non-EQ weekend for me. Just wasn't up for it I guess.

Though I had the most frustrating time replacing a broken toilet seat, including a painful wrench to the head! Smiley: jester

Played a bit of EQ2 with a friend.

Need to finish some EQ1 stuff at some point!

And lemme tell ya, after the fifth brittle skeleton who refused to drop any diseased marrow for the crappy Bertoxx. necklace quest, some twinkage is sounding mighty tempting.

I may start over as a more solo-friendly class. I wasn't expecting quite this level of drought in the low-lvl character arena.

Have you tried the hotzones? I was looking to level pretty quickly to catch up with the guild I joined, and found folks in the hotzones except really late at night. Then again, I also rolled a magician, so I hardly grouped with them.

Well, I'd been trying to complete some of the armor quests before I went out for xp grinding. It's just been slow going between the lack of DPS, need to med, and low mob turnover since I'm the only one hunting them. Only collected two large king snake skins so far and haven't even seen a giant king snake yet which is needed for my breastplate among other pieces.

Anyway, I'll grind on or else start a new character with a different class.

Friday: Ended up grinding with the mage, but decided to wander around a bit to find a new hunting ground. Tried the mines of Nurga, but few light blue cons, mostly green, and nothing of real interest. I might try Greig's, on the SD side, but I like to solo, and that might be too difficult there.

Saturday: Bummed around doing house projects most of the day until an evening party; our old neighbors daughter, who is about my daughters age. Had a great time talking with all the other dads who got drug along. Too tired for EQ when we got home.

Sunday: Rolled up a Froglok Cleric for my daughter to watch run and jump around on the Test Server. She likes the graphics. Had a group of friends over to DM a D&D 3.5 game which we have been doing; once a month or so for about 5 hours has been a good compromise for spouses.

Not much EQ for me this weekend. I did play my wizard/druid box a little bit, and finally went running around Norrath to get spells for them that I had been neglecting. The druid is making a better tank than I ever expected him to be, and that duo is really turning out to be alot of fun to play.

Friday: Solo run in Direwind turned into guild group for a while, did Qinimi blue dome event... wow what a difference from when I did it last year.
Then it was close, this time we destroyed the event and had well over 15 mins left.
Saturday day: watched plumber change drains =/
Saturday night: Tacvi raid turned into Qvic Msha farming due to lack of numbers, a later Tacvi raid killed Tunat. Had fun playing with new hammer from Anguish, I call it my Noc Killer :)
Sunday: Solo, then duo with druid pal in Direwind Cliffs beating up gnolls, took a long break for some chores and to vegetate watching a movie, did Ikkinz 2 raid (again) and just destroyed Guardian of Glorification. Pinged 972.

Thursday eve saw me killing LB undead in natimbi with the cleric. Trying for the essence drops to give mace to my ranger. Turned into a guild groupage. I died when trying to pull the named. She summoned me and I picked up an add. Tried to target the add to root, but just couldnt do it. One shard did drop
Friday went raiding. Helped along the raid alliance on povar to get some drops for mage and cleric 1.5. Won a roll on an improved healing necklace wich I gave to my cleric. Died on raid wipe at the end, but it was fun.
Saturday I had logged on shaman again was going to take her to Natimbi for a change of pace. Saw a LFG for No ro Ldon and since cleric can use RGC I logged on him.
Group was two clerics, warrior, paladin, chanter and necro. Leader took a hard slaughter. We lost. Knew we were going to lose, kept at it anyway as the folks were not complaining about exp. Lost the necro halfway through adventure. If we had been able to keep necro we may have eeked out a half win. But I dinged 62 on clerid and at the end when we were overwhelmed by a multi pull with chanter LOM I was able to gate. (Note was last one standing when gate went off.) Went back in to rezz.
Sunday it was the cleric back in natimbi using the new 62 Dot spells and burning LOD to get level insurance. Guildmate was getting the aug drops in hole so I logged Courtin to bring on 52 paladin. Took him to hole, and was wiping up on the LB constructs. No augs however.

Yup. I did the quest once before on another server but the zone was much more heavily populated then so more placeholders were getting eliminated. Even then, I wound up buying one of my giant skins from some druid.

Large king snake skins can be gotten in QHills and in the QCatacombs (from "a large snake"s). Giant king snake skins, as far as I know, only come from the rarely spawning giant king snakes in QHills. I haven't seen any indication that the "a giant snake"s in Blackburrow can drop them and the few I took the time to kill didn't drop anything of mention.

Giant king snake skins. It's a quest item and drops only from giant king snakes in Qeynos Hills. Thanks though Smiley: smile

Plus, I'm on the Progression servers so anything in the TSS expansion is moot anyway

I know you guys don't care too much for raid news, but Friday night was particularly satifying for us, we killed both Draygun and Vishimtar with 40 people we were all very smug and pleased with oursleves. Smiley: grin
