I've been playing on and off since beta 3. I jumped in at pre-lease and have a level 12 toon. I like the game, it is very EQ but modernized. Seems they also tried to take some of the more popular aspects of WoW and EQII and incorporate them into the game. Telon is a huge world, with LOTS to do.
I havne't found performance on either end to be an issue, as many have complained about. In fact I have been running both EQ (my trader) and Vanguard simultaneously without any problems.
There is a Vg forum here on Alla's. It's forum=80 I think, though not many people using it.

I agree i bought it on the release day and have been playing alot and can say i really like it. It really does seem to incorporate the things i liked about EQ WOW and others into it while still keeping a decent level of difficulty and fun.
I finally hit level 10 and got a horse and have been exploring quite a bit the world is huge and looks great.
As far as performance i have 0 issues at all i run it at about medium high with respectble FPS from what i have seen most of the people complaining about performance either dont really meet the sys requirements or are at the very edge of them. LOL one guy made a huge thread somewhere about how they mislead people and lied to them about sys requirements because his FX5500 (FX5500 wont even run EQ beyond medium settings) wouldnt play the game for crap i had to laugh....Sadly most people complaining are in the same boat as that guy.
