I don't plan on buying BS, but I'm interested to hear how they intend to work "ship-to-ship" combat.

I hope you don't buy it for the ship to ship combat because you will be sorely disapointed when you find its an instanced zone shaped like two ships with paths between them.

The two path's of advancement will be similiar to DoN evil versus good, with points from each side that can be used to buy armor weapon etc. again similiar to DoN merchants ebon vs radiant.

I'm not buying it, period. I had a feeling it'd be something lame like a couple LoY boats with gangplanks. A naval combat system would be asking a bit too much.

To the credit of the EQ Devs they want SOE Marketing to retract that line as it is misleading, they in no way wanted that as a bullet line for the Expansion marketing.

The Guild Banner and the Fellowship feature will probably make this a manditory expansion for the Raider and Mulitboxer.

Legoland has ship to ship combat?

Cannons and Cannonballs would be cool.

I see no point or reason to be excited about ship to ship combat. A lot of folks cant even play a toon properly & now they're going to have access ship to ship combat? I predict many miserable patch's to follow this pointless expansion. my over all opinion s are Ship to Ship combat BAAAAAAAAAD idea (maybe im looking at it wrong but it just sounds dumb) More missions excellent idea, more zones ...******** new energian butplug inventory slot ..might be cool, know too little about it or how it will work. Guild banners should be cool. Fellowship ...sounds beneficial but fruity, probably will be responsible for massive downtime as well.

What about spells & aa's? TSS was cool but some more 71 + aa's would have been a nice bone for buying this pos expansion

I hope the crap they give me to buy after this expansion will make up for this **** poor addition. Who knows TBS might turn out better than expected

The guild banner is gunna be the best part IMHO. Being able to port late commers to the raid will save loads of time.

Personally, I am not looking forward to yet another half baked, half done, barely thought out expansion when there are so many other things the designers at Sony can be working on other than how to separate me from the money in my wallet. Two expansions every year with a few shiney new toys does not make for a great gaming experience. And this one is slightly more lame than a few of the others. I mean seriously? After 7 some odd years of playing and killing many of the 'last race' types, we all the sudden find a 'new' Combine city under the ocean? Ship to ship combat? What about all those suddenly unemployed Gnomes? Guild banners? /sigh, I remember having to know where I was going through all the zones at some point. Fellowship? Isnt that what guilds are for? We find more Kedge? I'm sure Phinny is gonna be happy about that, but lets be serious here.

Since I don't function well directionally in multi-level zones (I never *didn't* get lost in Kedge, dammit!) I'm not looking forward to this one.

I'm sure the guild banner will come in handy, but that's what druids, wizards, and CoH mages are for (raid-wise).

I'd like some LAA additions, I'd like some intriguing AA additions, I don't give a rat's patootie for "ship to ship" fighting... it's just instanced dungeons drawn differently.

I'd like an upgrade to the druid "CH"-- but don't expect to see it.

I have to say though, I was really hostile about TSS before the fact and have enjoyed it thoroughly... most interesting grouping opportunities at 70+ in a long time.

And I'd love some more *good* guild raid targets-- bosses w/ more than one loot item on them, loot that is actually *better* than Anguish if it requires Anguish-level or better skills/tactics/etc. And I'd love to see those targets *without* having to spend a month factioning and getting every member of the guild to do an incessant mandatory series of inane quests. Now *interesting* quests-- that I'd go for! (I love being able to "summon griffon" for instance!)

I am interested to see how this will work out. So far we know there will be a new worn inventory slot for a powersource. The source will give enhanced stats to any engergian armor you are wearing. You can choose which powersource to wear depending on your role. ie if you are off tanking as a pally you might choose diff than if you are main tanking etc. also you might have a more expnsive rarer popwer source for raiding or bad pulls. They will last 6 hours of worn time -Exact lenght to be determined.

The key issue for me is if I have a set of energian armor, I can assume it will be an upgrade over the last expansion armor for the same level. Lets assume it goes up 10% each expansion, will that 10% boost in stats be before the power souorce or after the powersource? Because if its before the power source and the powersource is a boost above and beyond having the new armor set, then I will be very happy with it. If you only get the 10% boost over prior set of armor after the powersource is active, then I will be dissapointed, becuase then I only get an upgrade in armor by constantly spending plat on the power sources.

Kind of a stupid remark, considering.....as if someone out there is playing EQ, but didn't bother buying EQ(original) or Kunark, or even Velious; doubt ya'd get anywhere without LoY anyhow, since alot of zones are based upon them, and ya can forget about using the Magus! Most people stopped buying exp's after DoN+ because they were no longer interested in the features, or simply can't / couldn't afford them. BTW --- i just DLed TSS about 2 weeks ago...and the ONLY 2 reasons were.....the 75 lvl cap increase and to update questable gear, that intails TSS to aquire....otherwise I wouldn't have bothered....but ya can count me OUT for any further EQ expansions indefintely, unless there is some wonderous feature that i can't live without. (But i seriously doubt it) If SOE would concentrate on updating older zones / bugs / broken quests.... or perhaps, maybe even come out with an expansion, aimed towards the soling / duoing players of EQ, and less focus on Uber Raid guild types, they might actually gain more players, new and returning! That's my opinion, and it seems as tho I have not read one single +positive post about the new exp coming ..... looks like there are more dedicated players out there, that play for the enjoyment of it, not so much the "w00t, look at me, i'm in XYZ UberRaidguild, and have the best gear in the game, can solo a lvl: 85 mob with one eye closed and 2 hands tied behind my back...."
I'd be happy, eventually making lvl:75, having TSS quest gear+, if possible, being able to solo a 70-75 mob, and getting decent/great bazaar sellable items, but for now, i have all the EQ exp i need! --- Besides, been playing 2.1 years (this time around), and bought the EQ plat, then 2 months later bought OoW, then DoN...DoDh...PoR...now TSS, and yet another ones is coming, if the quality of gameplay was a fraction of the quantity they are producing for exp after exp....then they might be onto something, but seems as though the almight $$$ is the bottom line....! Greed, makes even the strongest will, falter.

In a raiding guild.

... BUT also having less and less time to raid or even play.

See absolutely nothing in this that makes me want to buy for any of my 3 accounts.

Will not be buying. Much more likely to be retiring (un)gracefully.
