Do not retaliate.

Keep hounding the GMs, eventually one will take some sort of action. /report every incident and send the perp tells (no profanity). If he is foolish enough to answer you the GMs will have record of his response. Have all your groupmates send reports. If 8 or 9 people complain it carries more weight than one.

If he does belong to a guild, look up their website and complain there as well. It is possible he is retaliating for some perceived slight. Small-minded people tend to do this. This is the wrong way to go about it so do not escalate things by retaliating yourself.

If GMs do nothing after 8 people complain and you send 24 petitions....start stalking him? But do not retaliate hehe...

If you retaliate and the GMs decide to take action it won't matter who started it.

Edit: Obvious cya response. If he feigns like it is not possible to train someone and get to zone xyz quickly he is an idiot (especially a WIZARD).

No sense in trying reasonable conversation with small-minded, intractable or otherwise insane people, no.

It is possible he is pulling pranks or just trying to **** you off more. Small-minded people take no end of delight in this type of activity.

If there is no price to pay (being banned for example, or not given 5 second chances) then there is no motivation for them to stop their antics.

Still, there's a good possibility that this person, like most of us, falls under the big ol average portion of the normalacy bell curve.

Next time you see this guy in the zone you're in, try and strike up a friendly conversation without any being accusatory and see if you can find out what' s up. But keep /log going just in case.

If the GM's have no proof they'll do nothing.

I also recommend not retaliating... Unless you make an expendable account soley for that purpose and don't mind it's deletion and / or bannage, in which case try to make them lose at least 1 level in the process and wipe a raid.

I would do the same for any smarmy crap that does not belong in the info section, dont feel so special. You were the one who got nasty asking why I even opened the thread. So I can't look at threads in an open forum now? And woe is me if I ask a simple question like 'Does this belong here'? You were the one who was warned and banned for inciteful posting.

I HAVE dealt with this behavior as you can see bruur. But not just the E-person. There are several incidents of griefers in-game if you search the threads here that affected other people. I stand by original advise. Any similarity to posters real or imagined is coincidental. (The post about paranoid people was the only one aimed.)


You may THINK you know who is rating you down, and since you are so irrational there is no arguing any points. I will only say, the only posts I rated down in the past 3 days were your OP OOT post and the snippy non-info ones. I dont think your information on most EQ subjects is worth rating period.

Edit: Oh yeah I rated that idiot who posted the 3rd party software link and made the crack about Erudites down on all the posts (3) that I could. So that was the total extent of my rating for tha past 3 days.

Eventually you'll find a GM who will take care of the case. Be sure to /log everything, and try to take a screenshot when it happens again.

No, it matters who keeps continuing it. Complain to the mods if you don't like it. I have and it does no good. I don't have to put up with it or shut up about it. The only recompense provided here is the rate system. Rate me down if you don't like it, but every one of my posts is on point and not a load of vindictive sniping.

READ the freaking posts. Don't give me this 'shut up you are both causing it crap', there is one person causing it and it is not me. READ them and tell me I am somehow wrong for sticking up for myself.

This thread was started about people getting greifed in-game, and here we have a prime example of what happens when irrational people are allowed to stick around.

In EQ is it /petition /report. It actually does work sometimes even if it takes awhile.

Guys your dragging people into your affairs, so just let it go. I would suggest screenshots, send them to SoE and the guild leader, that way you actually have evidence

1. Pointless to reason with insane people

2. Semi-fruitless to complain to GMs

3. Absolutely counter-productive to retaliate, no matter how right you are, everyone will think you are too blame as well.

I advise again, do no quit /petion every incident. Eventually a GM who speaks and understands English will read it.
