Uh, I have a very old Ruins of Kunark CD and I can't seem to get it to patch (it is installed though). Does anyone know of a patcher thingy I could download or something.

Ruins of kunark is an expansion you still need the original EQ to play.

For the patcher you can get it here

Throw that in your EQ folder and run it then you will be able to download all the EQ files via the patcher (I sure hope you have an amazing internet connection though).

I don't need the original.
I've played with just Kunark and POP for years, and never had any problems.

And thanks alot for the patcher. But it can't connect for some reason.

Cant play without original EQ, how do you mean you have not had original EQ?

I used to play with just Kunark all the time.
It gets the patches without the original.

The Kunark expansion box included Kunark + original EQ, you didn't need to buy original EQ. That's how I too started EQ, years ago...

Didnt know Kunark came with original that explains that.

You could try forwarding these ports on your router or firewall.

Chat server - 9875
World server - 9000
Zone server - 1350 to 1430

Not sure if that will help just first thing that comes to mind.

Ive had this problem before.. You need to install another expansion besides Kunark to patch off of, you cannot patch off of kunark alone anymore. You can however patch off of Velious i think, and i know you can patch off of luclin still.

FYI, I used this link the other day and it worked just fine. Downloaded the patcher, went to Advanced and checked off all the expansions I owned (Kunark through DoN) and let it run overnight on the cable modem. Took ten hours but I was able to log in just fine afterwards.
