Hi I am new to a melee world and I was wondering for a ogre warrior which of these two weapons which would be a better choice.

Bygone Butcher's Cleaver - https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=30674 vs

Sword of Midwinter's Vengeance - https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=31478

I know I would love to have both but can't afford both as right now so working on that just wanted some opnions and some options.

Midwinter... but I really wouldn't go for either of them. Try to find a fairly fast 1-hander with an anger proc on it. Warriors aren't about dps, they're about holding aggro.

they both are fast weapons and I know about anger augs. I would love to buy some weapons wiht anger effects built in however they cost a fortune LOL so for now either of these two will have to work. I do have some ebons saved up to get some, however my warrior is only level 35.I plan on doing it right I know the 50's will take awhile and I figured I would hit 61 for conviction or tenacity and work on about 200 to 300's including and melee and defensive ones. I figured for me anyway a proper warrior bc I am in no hurry and I refuse to be power leveled or be a mm warrior will take 6 months to a year then I will be gtg but in the mean time, I just want to enjoy it :):):):)

Nothing wrong with doing dain missions for AA xp... you aren't a MM warrior then =p... it's just good to get out and smell the roses (when you get fed up with Dains).

The weapons I would recommend that would carry you into the 50's are the Sword of the Bloodsworn and the Copper Hammer of Striking. This pair is the best bet for lower level aggro up until the mid 50's or so.

The Droga Twins (Copper Hammer of Striking and Sword of the Bloodsworn) can carry you into the low 60's as well. If you are able to add some Ykesha augments to them (from DoN or drop in Dranik's Scar) they make some good aggro weapons for that level range. Worst case scenario is to add some of the Wulfenite augments (from the hometown weapon augment vendor) to them.

I have decedid to go with Bygone Butcher's Cleaver or Copper Hammer of Striking and Sword of the Bloodsworn. I am staying away from Sword of Midwinter's Vengeance bc I have looked it is almost 50k where Bygone Butcher's Cleaver is only 20k which I can afford much more comfortablty. I will then after getting to 70 get my 1.5 epic and work on deciding what to put in my other hand when I cross that bridge I would like to say thank you all for your input and information greatly apperciated!

The 1.5 is definately an off-hand weapon. Pair it with a DoN Axe and add EB augs to both of them. I use this setup currently and have no problems keeping aggro.

1.5 is an offhand weapon when you have a darkblade or better. I'm not sure why you would offhand it with a don axe.

The Hammer is sometimes looked upon as the poor mans aggro weapon, but I still love it. It works very well and theproc is a lot of fun to watch :) It should still be relatively inexpensive as well. It's even got a unique graphic.

CHoS proc is a magic resist check, MoFF is fire based. The stun on CHoS probably helps tanks keep agro better, but MoFF is a very easy quest from Natimbi and a free weapon with similar stats to CHoS could be the way to go to help you save for something else you need.
Also both weapons have identical graphics when equipped. Sorry Gladestrider, CHoS graphic isn't unique anymore.

I shouldn't have said "unique" to imply one of a kind; I just meant that it's a less common and fairly cool graphic :)
