I 2box on one computer and have had the problem where I can't follow myself, so i have to run each toon individually. I was told before that the reason I couldnt follow myself was because of some connection issue with 2 accounts on the same computer/connection.

Is it possible to autofollow yourself while using one computer. Could it be a memory issue or something else?

Well I'm no computer expert but I can tell you that I run 2 eq's on one PC and autofollow works fine (unless its PoK or some other laggy zone). I have 1 gig of ram. Not 100% sure on rest of specs sorry.

In general I usually had the "not on top" session slowly falling behind.

So what I would do was put the "leader" on autorun, and alt-tab to the follower. When it was time to change course, alt-tab back and do so. Had no problems that way.

But in general, yes, if you set off on a long run and stayed in the session what was in front, the follower would get further and further behind until they would be "out of follow range" and stop themselves.

The hardest part of 3 boxing was travel. DPSing, Crowd Controlling and Healing all at the same time on two keyboards is nothing compared to running from the Guild Hall pool to some instance.

No problems for me with autofollow boxing 2 on the same machine. Lag is a killer though in some zones. I occassionally look back to make sure #2 is still following.

I dont even bother with AF to be honest. I box two on one machine and always lose one on AF. Its a pain sometimes getting to where I want to play but I move em one at a time. One is a necro other is a pally, so I move necro first then FD, then move in pally, worst case both can rez. Exp is easy enough to comeby (for me) that I really dont care or worry about 90/93 rez vs 96 unlike some of my friends. On a raid I expect it but grouping/soloing(even while boxking) not important.

My specs before Friday of last week: P4 1.7Ghz, 768mb ram, nvidia fx5200 w/ 256mb, dial up connection.

On Friday I doubled my memory(pulled out 256mb and added 1Gb) giving me 1.5 Gb. I changed nothing else at all. Before the upgrade I could not auto-follow at all. The "following toon" just would not begin to follow before the "lead toon" was so far away auto-follow was cancelled. After the upgrade I can easily auto-follow, no problems at all. I would assume you are having the same problem.
