Well, my little necro isn't guilded at the moment, so when I need to mess around with augs I tend to take the guild lobby magus to one of the LDoN camps, use the birdbath, then gate back. Last night I had 2 augs to add to her gear, went to the Magus and noticed that she still mentions [east commonlands]. /feedbacked that. I chose the new Commonlands because I figured I'd have a look around while I was there. Well, oddly enough, there wasn't a birdbath there anymore. Hmmmm, /feedback. Ok, I'll take the magus to one of the other camps then. Hmmmm, there's no freakin' Magus here anymore! Grrrrr, /feedback. Gate. I had to go back to the GL magus and go to BB to do my aug stuff.

So, due to all of the feedback I ended up having to do and resulting frustration, I didn't actually get a chance to check out the new Commonlands. One thing I did notice upon zoning into the tunnel was that the textures seemed VERY flat. I though at first that there was something wrong with my video card. The ground was completely flat with absolutely no shading or variations at all. It did seem to be quite smooth on the video lag though. I used mouselook to spin some quick 360's and not a bit 'o lag. Besides that though, I didn't see anything else (except the cages, but I can't remember if they were there before or not). Anyone take the time to actually have a good look around the zone? Impressions?

Haven't dared head there yet. Heard a few peeps in PoK shouting that they tried to zone into the new commonlands and fell through the earth. I am not that interested in wasting my valuable, limited time on something that has a few bugs in it...

Anyone catch the irony of my response?

FYI there are two birdbaths in Guild Lobby, both in the guild message board areas, south of the corpse summoners.

OMG. All the time I've spent exploring in this game and I've never explored the guild recruitment areas enough to know there were birdbaths there. All the time I wasted porting around with my poor necro... well, rate ups 4 joo! Thank you.

I noticed some video issues with mobs (since patch). Had my rogue in West Karanas factioning on bandits. The Famale Barbaian model among others would be unstable and flicker. I have been seeing this flickering on other mobs too, especially around the waist or torso.

Actually I should have mentioned the easiest place to fiddle with augments is in the Bazaar. If you enter from PoK take the first right turn and you'll be in a tradeskill area with forges and other tradeskill containers. In one of the stalls there is a gnome merchant standing next to a birdbath.

All Magus' sell the "solvent" that will destroy an augment so you can put something else in the slot. Only a few NPC sell "distillers" to safely remove the augments, one is a gnome at the Butcherblock LDoN camp. The gnome in the Guild Hall "jacuzzi" area also sells distillers. Since you said this character is not guilded yet, the easiest place to go is that gnome in the bazaar, she also sells the distillers.

They have also added a birdbath to Lavastorm Mountains now, at the Wayfarer's camp near the entrance to Naggy's lair, though I don't think there is a magus or merchant for distillers or solvents there.

Lavastorm camp has no distillates for sale that I saw.
I tend to use the birdbath in Bazaar as the distillate merchant is right next to it.
Guild hall and lobby as mentioned above do have birdbaths. Didnt notice allthe distillates on the magus in guild lobby.

There is a magus in Commonlands. He's just antisocial and is standing abit away from the other Wayfarers.

I know he was that way before the revamp, but can you confirm he's there after the revamp? I could swear I didn't see him. Meh, either way, no need to go there anymore. :)

I could really care less about this zone. I would just assume they didn't revamp old world zones though. New zones = lag city when two boxing for me. Running to lodizal now is a chore because of the new north ro.

The only one I have really remotely enjoyed would be the new Nek, but once again it just wasn't needed IMO.
