Well since it's hard to get a response on the class forums here I go. With the necro pets, how do you know which one is the "rogue" or "warrior" etc pet? With my mage it's easy - water is rogue, earth is warrior etc. Another thing i've always wondered is what exactly does it mean on a spell description when it reads "decrease/increase disease counter" ? Thanks in advance.
Pet Statistics
There are a few ways to determine pet classes. With pet damage turned on a rogue's backstab is clearly discernable as single hits of double or triple damage among normal attacks. In the upper levels (60+) warrior pets will buff themselves with a short-duration damage shield.
As for disease spells (and poison as well) they work on counters, which are tracked on the target. For a hypothetical example, take a disease spell that adds 6 counters and a cure disease spell that removes four. You can cure the dot with two casts.

Only the lvl 65 tank pet so far buffs itself. My 67 pet is a warrior but it does not buff itself.

61 pet warrior 63 pet rogue 65 pet shadowknight?? 67 warrior 70 pet rogue 71-2? pet warrior 75 pet rogue.
