Good Morning,

My guild finally beat Quarm and we were going to start working on GoD progression, Is there any thing we should do to start that? I was told all you need to do is the Tipt run and then ikkinz 4? but not sure what those are.

Does anyone have a link to the proper progression path for that?

You need a Tipt run to earn the right to zone into Koad'taz where the Ikkinz raids are.
To be able to request the Ikkinz raids you first have to do some group trials.

Start here

Thank you, it does not look like as long a start as POP is, at least it is groupable for the first part until the raids.

My guild killed quarm for first time a few weeks ago we decided to try and skip GoD and try for Anguish using lev 75 to make up for lower quailty gear.

I hope you all have better then Time gear if you're planning on hitting Anguish. Just being Level 75 won't help as many of the Anguish mobs hit like a Mack truck and the trash flurries or rampages. The GoD zones are great for gearing up and getting your guild to raid as a cohesive force, which is definately required when figuring out the Anguish encounters. If you're guild has gotten a lot of the TSS groupable gear or you've farmed the heck out of the MPG Raid Trials, then you might be able to skip the GoD stuff. But if you're majority Time geared then you had better look at some serious upgrades. Best of luck!

There are certain MPG raid trials that can be easily handle with 75 and time gear. But there are a couple that I see being a problem. Endurance and maybe specialization may be pretty hard for you guys. So best thing to do easy farm the trials you can handle easily and maybe work on some DoN Dragons to get some upgrades. Hate Trial and Foresight are most likely the easiest ones to farm. The problem with foresight is having people pay attention. A full raid that pays attention can easily handle it. If too miss the emotes, well you are screwed becuase the less alive people in the trial, the more they speed up. Good luck though.

Theatre of Blood (TOB) is a great way to by pass GOD.. It is WAY easier to get into.. Need to complete 7 missions ( Skylance 1-3, North Ro 1-3 and Samples of Corruption).. Our guild has been making weekly trips to ToB and getting great stuff.. We are now 1 trial away from being Anguished Flagged (Foresite).. We also use loot from Shyra and Don Dragons ( we have beater Tirriumn, but have yet to beat Rikki or Kess).. Hate is the easiest MPG trial ( and has some of the best loot.. We will be farming hate long after we get into Anguish.. ALL our tanks want the ungodly plate legs that drop in hate)..

If you bypass GoD, you'll be cheating yourself out of some of the best EQ experiences ever.

Well our guild DOES plan to get back to GoD.. We tried for MONTHS to get past Ikkinz 7 and Uqua.. We must have done Uqua ~ 10 times.. We got to the the final mob in there twice, but lost both time. We won the 1st 3 Ikkinz raid trials, but lost to last one..

Our biggest problems were that they took SOOOO friggen LONG to do.. We are a RL guild ( REAL LIFE ).. Most of our members ( spread across several time zones ) could not stay on for as long as Uqua/Ikkinz took.. from forming up near Yxxta ZL.. clearing to get into Uqua.. then working our way thru the zone just would take us too long. we wpuld lose many members having to log off due to kids/sleep.. whatever RL situation called them away.. SOOO our intentions is to use ToB/TSS/Anguish... etc to gear up so we can blast thru into Tavci faster..

The only expansion I've seen less of and been less interested in then GoD was DoDH, and that's only because I had quit for a year, during which time DoDH came out...

EDIT: Word order FTW!

Blue Dome event in Qinimi.
The 2 hecklers in Riwwi!
The Barindu BiC event.
Beating Tipt for the first time in really crappy gear.
Beating Noqufiel ftw.
First time zoning into KT, omg I MADE IT!
First time making it to Yxtta zoneline, alive.
DT mobs before Noqufiel! (ow)
First run-in with Fierce Cragwalker in Natimbi (ouch)
Wondering (and unfortunately, finding out) what the Cragbeast Queen is.
Roamers in the Sewers of Nihila
Saturday morning Msha runs.
Beating Uqua on our 3rd (or 4th) try.
Winning Aranini's Rage! omg it's still me #2 weapon.
Soloing Tipt and Vxed for endless AA xp.
Redefining the words *trash mob* after meeting Mr. Mastrug Cuisinart in Tacvi.
And on and on, yeah I'm the GoD cheerleader. :)

I think what we are going to do is Farm Time for some stuff Saturdays, and other raid night's farm MPG trials, Work on KT access and getting to and through ikky 4, and also do the DoN dragons and such to gear up.

We also have been taking weekly trips to ToB to gear up, that is most likely why we killed Quarm on our first time run(only one wipe in the whole run, and that was to inny). We have been farming ToB for gear for 4 months. Once a week, and we have 15+ people fully equipped with ToB armor and better for those 8 peices.

We are going to complete GoD, i have heard it is a PITA, but we want to complete each expansion and once past GoD we will head to Anguish(OoW if i am correct). By that time we should have completed DoN also, and then should be started on DoD if i understand the progression right.

By then, MAYBE we will be able to kill one of the uber-named in ToB.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

Yes, I agree.

There are also a number of unique items that have not yet been replaced in the game and are very valuable to certain classes.
