I'd say 51. That's pretty much the requirement for all classes, so I'd guess it's the same for your class.

If i remember right its level 56 needed to even start the monk epic or at least turn in the "imortals" book

Though there have been claims otherwise, the Ranger epic is a min of 51. You can start collecting items before then, but you can't do any turn-in's without risk of losing them.
