Morning all,

Activated my account for the first time in a year and downloaded all the updates. Did not buy the latest expansion.

Played around a bit in Drakniks Scar but am a bit concerned at the speed and power of mobs there (compared to Velks) so I am a bit hesitant to attack anything higher then blues. My Pet seems to take hits a bit more but I see that there are some individual summoned armor pieces which are new. That helped a bit.

Question: Where is a good place for a rusty enchanter to solo in order to re-learn the basics? I have use of potion belts, plenty of Peridots for Rune 5, and pretty good gear (mostly bazzar purchased). Need a Zone where I can zone out quickly in case I get into trouble.

Please advise! Level 57 Enchanter. Bristlebane server.

Well, I know you said you didn't get TSS yet, but that's going to be the first thing I suggest. I got burnt out on TSes over the past couple of weeks on my bard so I pulled my 55 necro out and started hunting with her near the zoneline in Blackfeather Roost. I'm telling you, the experience is awesome. The loot is pretty freakin' good too. I'm talking pretty common drops that sell to vendors for 40-70pp. I was there for about an hour last night and made almost 400pp and just short of 2 AAs, soloing. The "named" there aren't any harder then the "normal" mobs either, and they drop some pretty nice things like the Griffon Down Cloak, the Satyr Legbone, the Blackfeather Wardrum, a Crystallized Griffon Eye, a Griffon Tamer's Mask, a Royal Harpy Guard Shield, and a Griffon Bone Earring. Those are all from mobs before the first ledge! I haven't made it past there yet. There's lots of room to kite them if you pull them up kind of towards the zoneline (or at least the "big rock"). The only problem for you is you probably won't even want to bother with your summoned pet here. The mobs hit for 350+, and FAST. You're probably gonna want to do some charming if you want to be successful here, but like I said, if you pull them up a little there's no chance of adds and you're really close to the zoneline if things go wrong.
