Epic 1.0 worth it, at lvl 56?Follow

#1 Nov 29 2006 at 11:46 AM Rating: Decent
Question.... should i even bother doing the 1.0 at lv 56? or just skip and get the 1.5? i already have the Copper medal of War.... so the Bugged part is already done. then 40 haste will be nice, but i assume i will be doing the 1.5 asap. So just asking for opinions here... TY

You need the 1.0 to start the 1.5.

negative, there is a pre-quest for the 1.5 if you dont do the 1.0... its very easy at that. just thinking the 1.0 for the 40% haste

Depends on your playstyle really. As a ranger I did my epic a few months ago when I was in the low to mid 50's. Not long after I completed it the AAXP system changed and I spent some extra time around levels 59-62 working AA's. Swiftwind was a great offhander for me at that time, Earthcaller I pretty much only used as situations called for it. At 65 now, I have much better weapons than either of my epics, but I still keep a bandolier set with them mainly for show, pretty much as a pride thing. If you're planning to push straight through and hit 65 soon to get 1.5 you may not want 1.0(depending mainly on the question "Is it easier to complete the 1.5 prequest or finish 1.0?" Personally, I'm glad I took the time to get my 1.0, but that's just my opinion.

Thanx for the input! i think i will just finish the 1.0. My guild is mainly 75's (95% 75) so killing these baby mobs will probably take one night = ).
i Also would like the pride of having my Epic!

i got my bst's epic when he was 51, even though i had much better weapons on him. The slow proc from the claw is really useful since it was higher than my spell slow at his current lvl

You are micro-managing. Epics are a symbol, a reward for a great accomplishment, something you cannot (could not...) do alone, so it proved you are a social player. So what if the stats aren't the greatest, or the clicky effect has been superceded by something better? EQ is about accomplishing things alone, in groups and in raids. Epics prove you can do that.

Don't do the epics to get a great item. Do it because it's a great accomplishemnt, something you can be proud of.

Unless, of course, you're a cleric. The Clicky stick is one of the most ultimately useful items in game.
