I have read in several threads about "the" cloak, a PoR item everyone wants to have. Anyone got a link to it (or to the quest if it's not a drop)?

I believe this is what their talking about linky. I think you have to be level 60 to get the quest. I started the quest when I was 61 with my war, but my shaman at 56 can't get the quest yet.

Yep, that's "the" cloak. It's not a terribly difficult quest because people will often times take out the mobs for one person in the group, and since it drops 3 pieces for the cloak, they usually OOC that some are rotting. The biggest problem in trying to get it now would probably be that there aren't that many people hunting in Arcstone to take take down the named mobs anymore.

On an ancillary matter, here's a quest found in CC that could help max out your cloak faster:

Speaking 'bout PoR, Arcstone is entered by a portal in the magician guild tower's top floor in Freeport iirc.

Do I have to build Freeport faction to walk safely through the magician's tower (and if yes, which?) or can I simply invis there (see invis mobs?) and hail the npc to activate the portal and enter Arcstone?

(I'm an Ogre BST btw, and haven't done any Freeport faction I know of yet.)

You can invis your way through Freeport. I'm an ogre warrior and will do it that way, or you can set your guild portal to Arcstone. If you need help doing it I see that you are on Xegony, I still need a couple of pieces and my guild and I are planning on finishing it up and getting some other quest from there. So if you need help look for Phumok or someone from Shadows of Pride we'll more then gladly help you out.

Long time reader and first time poster. Anyways, when your evolving the cloak, does it leech exp away from your toon's exp or is it a seprate thing. Thanks

No it does not leach away regular experince.

The experience you send to an item is at full if it is the only one you have turned on to gain exp. If you turn on multiple items a tthe same time they will level very slowly.

Great, many thanks for the info. I shall not worry about turning off the cloak, during a good exp group.
