Mapfiend has been down for weeks wiht only the base site page up and the links to maps not funtioning and I do not know where else to d/l in game maps. Anyone know of another site? I need a chardok B map amongst others, and the old mapfiend zip I d/l from the only link working on the website, does not have a chardock B map, only a chardock B loc number overlay with the exit and entrance labels. Where else can I get maps?

Your Mapfiend link works just fine for me. I have downloaded maps from there over the past couple of weeks.

Thanks, maybe it has soemthing to do with my d/l and installing the new version of Internet Explorer. Perhaps the links on the old mapfiend site don't work under it.

Yeah, Elinda posted in another thread about how mapfiend isn't working right under the new IE here.

She also posted the direct link to the map files in that thread (I forgot to copy the link, doh).

Stupid microsoft and stupid Bill Gates :P

Here try using Firefox. It's a different web browser and it's much more secure than using IE all the time. You'll still need IE for doing windows updates and such and for the new EQ bug/petition method. But overall you can use firefox for browsing the internet. Most hackers target IE and not soo much other web browsers such as firefox.

That site offers no real download of FF it just takes you to download google toolbar for some reason. The link says get firefox with google toolbar but thats not the download.

The official place to download firefox is Http://www.getfirefox.com

Supposedly the bad links on Mapfiend are not an issue with IE7 but bad coding by Mapfiend.

I once would have agreed about swithcing browsers to Firefox or others, but the masses have moved to FF and so follows the spam.

IE7's been keeping more crap off my computer than anything I've previously found.

I agree, FF does seem to be attracting unwanted attention over the last year or so but i think its still a little more secure than IE IMHO. I tried IE7 and for the most part liked it but i just dont like the way their tabbed browsing works.
