First things first.
Hello everyone!
I am here in search of some information. I have been an Everquest player since i bought it by the year 2000. After 3 years of playing with friends and seeing the world of norrath evolve, i decided to quit to never come back. Now after some years have passed, the nostalgic feeling stabbed me in the back, so i chose to come back. And i was wondering... How much does the world of norrath has changed? (I left between The legacy of ykseha and Lost dungeons of norrath expansions)
Anyways, i was looking to pick the platinum pack to start over again (I'm European so the titanium pack is not sold here yet and i'm not going to pay $45 of shipping fees for a game that's $20) with that in mind, what's the most fun/best class i could choose? I was thinking on Iksar necro or Barbarian shaman, maybe an hybrid as i don't like too much the melee classes.

Thanks in advance to you all.

PD: I'm sorry if my english is bad, it's not my native language.

It all depends on if you're going to be grouping a lot. If you want to group, I'd say druid or shaman (or a pally or SK if you want a hybrid). If you want to solo, then I'd go with a necro or mage.

You can play all the expansions without buying them on Test Server. All you have to do is reactivate your account and download them from the advanced button on the first screen when you start up EQ.

I second the Drakkin Druid. Good for soloing and good in a group.

Don't go to that website, see every other thread this tool has posted in, it's a site that has viruses/trojans. GTFO.

Aliesthan, you sound a lot like me. I quit playing a few months after the Lost Dungeons expansion came out, and I too told myself that EQ was part of the reason I got divorced and that I would never play again. Well after looking at this site for a few weeks and talking alot about it to a friend at work about how fun the game was I am starting to get the EQ Itch again.
The thing is where are they at with the expansion's and what Edition would I have to buy to have all the updates a latest versions of EQ so all I would have to do is download the info off of the internet and be ready to play.
And too, if I was to log in under my old user name and password would my old characters still be there or would I have to start all over again. I was on the Fennin Ro server and wanted to know if that server was still up or had it been combined with another server. Any info would be great. Thanks
