Sorry this is not going to be a real answer, but it will give you a start point. I returned from Iraq about a month ago and had the same problem. I was also lagging so bad in Serpent Spine zones that I broke down and bought a new computer. When I went back to mapfiend.net it worked perfectly. Therefore, I would say that mapfiend requires some specific version of software. The 64 million plat question is what do you need to update or download to get it to work? Told you it was not going to be a real answer.

I can confirm what Garlin said. mapfiend.com takes you to a worthless search engine. mapfiend.net is the correct site.

I had some trouble with the site, though. None of the links were recognized by my browser (latest release of IE). I had to go directly to:

http://www.mapfiend.net/allmaps

Be sure you Save the zip file to your local hard drive and then open it from there. If you open it directly from the website, the files will be corrupted.
