Other than the Euro server I don't think you're gonna find one with a greater regional population than any other.

SoE doesn't doesn't publish server population info, so there's really no way to say for sure where there are more people playing.

I've suggested this before and might have to actually try in myself, but you could experiment a bit and make a toon on a few different servers. Log them in at the time of interest and hit a couple of the people gathering zones...namely PoK and the Bazaar. Do a "/who all" and you'll get a count of how many are in the zone.

Let us know the results if you do try this;)

Adding to this question... are any of you in raiding guilds that raid early (about 5pm or so) on east coast or central time??

My sister has been trying to find an east coast server to transfer to. The raids she has been on keep her up too late so she is interested in moving if she can find a server that suits. She moved once already but it did not work out for her.

The raiding guilds on my server (The Seventh) seem to be west coast as best I can tell. But take that with a grain of salt... I have never sent tells to ask. Maybe they just like to stay up late playing eq. All my friends seem to be raiding the same time as I do (from around 7:30 est to around midnight) no matter what guild they are in. The major difference seems to be the number of nights a week that they raid.

When you ask for an east coast server what are you looking for? Raid times? Times when the most folks are on to group? Even though I am of the impression that there are a lot of west coast folks in my server, there always seem to be folks on to group with, even in the middle of the day.

Is there a link that describes the server moves, I hear alot talking about them so it must be pretty easy to do. Or can someone explain them, what goes with you on the move, how long does it take to move etc etc

SoE makes it expensive so they don't have to fool around with character transfers...

I just started playing again, and logged on to both Maelin Starpyre and Stromm last night at about 7pm EST. Both had 80-90 people in the PoK (down from the 150-200 I remember) and about 210-230 traders in the bazaar (down from the 300+ I remember). Just providing this as a reference point.

I play on Maelin and usually log on about 9pm EST. At that point in time there are usually 110-120 people in POK with another 40-50 (or more if a raiding guild recently wiped) in the guild lobby.

POK attendence is still a pretty good way to judge how populated a server is, but realize that more and more people are using the Guild Lobby now for higher end buffs. With the bank now in each rezz section, there just isn't as much of a need to go to POK, and so now most guilds will rezz and buff up in GL.

My guild tends to lean more toward being a CST/PST guild, but we certainly also have some EST players. I would also use the POK attendence check as the best way to see the population for each server at a given time.

As long as I have been playing on Bristlebane it has always seemed to have eastern to central time players. I also know a few guilds (forget the names) that raid earlier than most. I usually find them on the guild postings in the guild lobby.

Good luck and have a nice holiday!

Stromm has a healthy Eastern Standard Time crowd with a handful of European
guilds/players to round out the daytime play.
There's often /ooc's in PoK for groups in the 20's through 40's.
It's not as active as, say, 2 years ago, but it's far from quiet.
Of course I'm biased..... :)
