Anybody know how toons with Cresent Reach as their home town get the newbie quests. Both Renloe and Barrezin refuse to give the quests.

Thanks

There are many more quest givers in Crescent Reach with level appropriate tasks. Just keep hailing. There are NPCs in every nook and crany that have quests or tasks.

It was the specific 9 quests for the newbie armour that I was interested in.

Ah well I'll keep trying

I believe you must be at least level 11 to start those quests. It's been awhile though so I might be wrong. If you can't do the ones in PoK - head to TSS and do those instead.

Actually take Netos's advice and reverse it. Head to pok.
You dont have to be level 10 to take start them.
Sorry I cant help you with the Cresent Reach part.

Since both of these NPCs are in PoK, I assumed the OP is having trouble getting the quests from them thus my advise to try the ones in Crescent Reach instead.

Gear is close to the same but you're more likely to find new players in Crescent Reach, if help is needed, than some of the older zones. At least that's been my experience.

Jonwin, apoplogize to Netos. The quests are level restricted. Each of the quests/trials has a minimum level requirement before they will give the quest. And three of the quests are qroup quests. 5th, 7th, and 9th trials from Renloe I believe. If you are not in a group he will not offer these trials, even if you are at the appropiate level.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the advice so far.

I should maybe clear up some points.

I have done the quests with both Barrazin (Usually)and Renloe (occasionally)on other toons.
I ran the new toon through the tutorial and on leaving got the message regarding Castlen Drewe, Barrezin and Renloe.
No problem with Drewe gave all level relevant quests.
But got the same message from both Renloe and Barrezin regarding start city.

Not direct quote but something like.
"You are from a city I know well and despise, they are cutting into my profits, Etc Etc.

I have now run 8 new toons through the tutorial all with CR as start but only 1 is a Drakkin, I could reroll the other 7 but do not really want to.

I have also tried the Guildmasters in CR in an attempt to find the more traditional route for this armour via magical pattern, special combine kit and loot but cannot find these either, and this route does not have the 9th item.
The toon I tried to get the quests with was level 17 so there should not be a problem there. Also 6 of the quests are solo so also no problem. It just seems to be start city.

i also found that Renloe and Barrezin refuse to give out the quests to toons with CR as their hometown. i rolled a troll shaman with CR as her hometown and tried to get the 1st task from Barrezin to no avail; go the same response as the op (who knew economics could mess with a quest lol). Castlen still gives the non-visible armor tasks though.

to the op: if your toon's race/class has the old school hometown guild armor quests available, you may still be able to do them via that route. i haven't tested to see if a toon with CR can still do them however, but it's wrth a shot.
