Brand new to EQlive. Really enjoying TSS while I wait for EoF to come out for EQII. I have a level twelve Drakkin Monk and have done most of the lvl 1+ and 5-10 quest series in Crescent Reach, also have my Drakkin Breath spell.

Right now I am not seeing much in the way of quests (until I get to lvl 15). Is there a zone or quest hub I am missing, Or should I leave CR and head out into the cold world of Norrath, where I have no clue where I am going?.

If anyone could be so kind as to point a newb in the right direction that would be great. Also keep the abbrevations simple since I have next to no clue what they mean.

You need to check out all the quest-givers in Crescent Reach, some are hidden in various places. You can do some of the quests that involve killing the ogre skellys by the farm. There are also a few more breath spell drops from mobs in CR too. One is up on the third floor. When you get to 15-ish head out to blightfire, more quests there and some given in CR involve mobs in Blightfire. Main one to check is given by one of the blacksmith NPCs to get a 50% WR bag. Same NPC that has the low-level armor quests.

You don't mention what level or class your character is, but obviously under 15 somewhere.

Supposing you have some TSS gear you're probably good to go for any of the classic newb dungeons. There are some fun one.

- Crushbone - take the Kelethin Stone from the Plane of Knowledge (PoK, eh) and head north
- Blackburrow - Take the Qeynos Stone from PoK and head NNE I believe. (this is my fav newb dungeon)
- Kurn's Tower - Take the Field of Bones stone from Pok and head across zone, west maybe, not sure of the direction, but your maps should show all these zones.
- Befallen - Freeport Stone from Pok to East Commonlands to West Commonlands.
- The Warrens - Paineel Stone, thru a tunnel to zone.

All the zones along the way to these dungeons will likely also have hunting opportunities that are level appropriate as well as task-givers if you look around for them. You may even be able to pick-up Taskmasters with your 'find' option. There are also some low-level quest NPC's in PoK. There's one by the Soulbinder and one by the pool on the north (good) side.

Btw, does EQlive = EQ1...I always thought that was something different??

Reading Comprehension FTW.

Thank you for the suggestions though.

One of my fav battle grounds was always Kurn's Tower.

Nowadays, I have no idea if there is anyone there or not :(

Yeah, at 12 Kurns Tower would be great xp. You'll be fighting through lots of green mobs to get to the bigger ones in most those other zones. Kurns is nice too, in that the skellies won't run.

You could start working the yard of The Estate of Unrest as well....a fantastic zone.

No reason to leave TSS unless you really want to. XP within the expansion is just as good as anywhere else and you are more likely to meet other lowbies in TSS than some of the old world zones.

You may have missed a few quests in Crescent Reach - be sure to talk to every NPC you encounter, not all quest NPCS actually have QUEST over their heads. Also, don't overlook the many tradeskill quests available to you in Crescent Reach. They don't take long to do and give you a jump start to 52.

Here's the quest list Alla has so far: https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/qsearch.html?zone=431&order=min_level

At level 12 you may indeed have completed many of the quests available. You can chose to stay in Crescent Reach for a bit longer and level killing the undead or venture out into Blightfire Moors. The mobs near the zone-in, rats and such should be within your abilities.

At level 15 definitely head to Blighfire Outpost Camp. There you will find many more quests starting at level 15.

personally, I would not leave TSS... there are lots of mobs in TSS to kill.. and many more quest for loot and xp that are far better than anything you will get outside of TSS...

from what I have seen BM is not all that bad xp.. with a good group... you can get just as much xp if not more than you can in kurns

My Drakkin is 44 now. Most was done in TSS.

1-15 spent in CR doing quests and killing mobs by the farm.
15-25 spent in Blightfire doing quests (most require you kill mobs so you gain xp)
25-35 Blightfire and Stone Hive
35-40 Stone Hive and Goru`kar Mesa
40+ Goru`kar Mesa
Spent one level in the 30s killing gnolls in South Karana for FS steel weapons
Spent about a half level in the 40s in Emerald Jungle grinding xp.
Spent one level killing beach mobs in Gunthak for Ranger spell.

Many TSS quests are given in one zone but you need to travel to the next higher zone to complete. Works out well for getting xp.
