I am trying to box 2 account on my mac. I copy and pasted the game folder. Created a new account. When I go to login my new account, it says i must register and asks me to enter my account key code or whatever.. is there a way around this? EQ mac is free, why cant i just pay my subscription monthly bill or whatever and log in to my account?

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you are attempting to play 2 toons at the same time while only paying 1 monthly fee. If that is the case, then no, this will not work. In order to play 2 toons at the same time, you need to have separate accounts and pay a fee for each account.

Buy a 2nd copy of the game and use that key to register your 2nd game?
I think that will work.
